i. Male validation devours and scrapes into her mind at birth. Taught to play the part of bottle blonde with one purpose.
ii. Does divinity know what we've been subjected to? Girlhood reminds us to seek forgiveness from everyone. How are we to find forgiveness in ourselves first? The color pink doesn't wash away sin, and rosaries don't protect you. We're all still scared of God, but pretend he's our friend. I am still seeking his forgiveness.
iii. I'd sacrifice myself to heal those memories of endless summers. I shouldn't have to prove myself to anyone, but I find myself still needing to pray. Pray that he regrets it all. I keep taking candy from strangers who just want to make me mad. I am proud to own this rage, and she is proud of me.
