Chapter Twenty Nine- Screw It.

This was all a mess. I should have never have listened to Lauryn, she wouldn't have had the strength to do anything to Anna... I've just ruined everything I've worked towards for the past 10 years of my life. "You forgot to mention something?" Lauryn says from behind me. I turn and face her; my face stone hard and cold. "We're now dating." She states. "What?" I ask, "What happened to you?" "You did Cam, which is why we're together now. Just like we used to be.." She sighs placing her hand around my torso. I squirm out of her grip and gently push her away. "Used  to be. Not anymore, times change Lauryn; and by the looks of it so do people.." "Just remember you're doing this for.. Anna, okay? Imagine me as her and you'll do great." She laughs. "Grow up." I scowl as I attempt to walk away. She abruptly grabs me by the wrist, "I'm serious Cam, she's ruined my life. She needs to know what it's like to work for things in her life for once, not take everything for granted." She says. "Granted? All her life she's been trying to find the family she knows she can trust. Her dad and mom are gone, Lauryn. She's alone in this stupid world where people like you make a living hell and you're trying to rip away the people that mean the most to her? Some friend you are.." I scoff as Lauryn looks down at her fingertips guiltily and I walk away. I slam our form door as I exit to find Anna. The least I could do was apologise, she needs to know what Lauryn done.. "Cameron!" I hear behind me. I'm suddenly pushed against a locker and soft lips are smashed against mine. I open my eyes for a glimpse of a second and realise its Anna. "I'm so sorry. I never meant to say all of that stuff back there-" I say in-between breaths. "Ii know you were angry, you deserve better than her. Now stop talking." She laughs.

A N N A

I subtly play a few notes on the piano; not have the strength or the mind set to raise my hand. "You okay?" I hear. I shoot my head towards the door and David. "Go away.." I sigh. "Don't be like that, he was a jerk. That was totally unnecessary Anna, you deserve a lot better." He says as he takes a seat next to me. "Something that I'll never get. Let's face it, nobody will ever respect an orphan who had a psychopathic dad and a coward of a mom.." I laugh slightly. "Hey, don't say that. Everyone here at this school respects you highly, they have no reason not to. You're the most funniest, most weirdest," He and I both laugh,  "But most kindest and beautiful girl I've met and any person would be so lucky to have you in there life... Except me. There's only one girl for me in this world.." He sighs sarcastically, leaning against the piano. "Batgirl?" I laughs. "Cliché" He says clicking her fingers as I burst into laughter. "Thank you, David." I smile as I take his hand and gently squeeze it. "Let's go back to form before WW3 begins. Focus on me and Ms Vinclet." I raise my eyebrows at him as we walk the the halls. "Okay, the Ms Vinclet thing's a pretty bad idea, "He laughs, "Just ignore Lauryn and Cameron." "You're a good friend, you know?" I say punching him on the shoulder. "And so they say.." He says as we turn the corner. I see two distant figures leaning against the lockers. As I approach I notice it's Cameron and Lauryn. "Anna do you-" David begins "It's fine," I say my breath hitching, "Let's just go." Just to my luck they both brake away at that exact moment. Karma is my homie, let's just put it that way. "Anna? But I—" Cam says furrowing his eyebrows. "Save it."I say as I feel a tear rolls down my cheek. I enter my form and am greeted by the wonderful voice of Ms Vinclet ringing into my ears. "Miss Jenner, where have you been!?" She shouts. "If it's not up your ass then there's no need for you to worry, is there?" I moan as I reluctantly take my seat next to Lauryn's. The whole class begin giggling at my unexpected response  "Detention." She shouts. "Whoopy do." I sigh. She groans in frustration as I imitate her. She glares at me and I finally stop. Cam and Lauryn secretly enter the classroom and take their seats.

*Lunch Break*

"How're you feeling?" David says as we both take our seats n the canteen, opposite each other. "Good, I guess." I say playing with my food. "You're not eating much.." He says looking down at my plate. "This food is pretty crappy.." I giggle. "Come round mine today after school. It's been said that El Papa's provide the best Pizza.." He says raising his arms. , "What do you say?"He asks. "Yeah, sure. It'll be cool." I laugh laughing at his fatal attempt at an Italian Gesture. "Mr Loverboy 6 o'clock." He says looking up. I turn around and stand up to face 'Cameron' straight in the face. "What do you want?" I say bluntly. "For you to listen." He sighs. "Oh, I think I've listened alright. Don't you think the school ought to know, don' 'they have right to know that I am allowed to be someones little publicity bitch." I say standing on the canteen table. "Anna get down this instance!" Ms Dorrick says approaching me as they whole canteen goes silent. "Oh no Miss D, I think it's my turn to let ya'll know what I think, what I'm feeling inside here." I say tapping against my chest, "You such an idiot. Sometime type of handsome Satan who I've managed to fall head over heals in love with. We  were a mistake, the amount of times my life has been screw because of you prick head is countless. I trusted in you Cameron, and like I've said every time you've let me down, you've broken it. Screw you, stay away from me." I say. " And to all of you who think I'm some type of sorry little hoe who can't get her life together.. Well,  you're right, I can't. Which is why ya'll need to stop judging me by what you've heard or seen and try.. I don't know, maybe speaking to me. Or just grow up, freaking grow up and you'll realise how hard life can be.." I say. I jump down from the table and nudge Cameron's arm. He looks down, his jaw clenching. "Let's go." I say to David as he gets up. "I'm proud off you Jenner, you did good." He says . "Bish, I did great.." I laugh as we exit the canteen.
