Chapter 20. New spells...again

Asta jumped up and slashed a few times through the air with his large sword before a smile broke out on his face. He managed to get a hit on Gueldre.

"Wow, how was Asta able to find him so fast!" Belladonna said aloud.

Yami had a proud look on his face, "His mana he's able to hide with his magic but he can't hide his ki with it, and since this kid anti-magic kid can feel his ki, Well they're pretty much natural enemies."

Gueldre's face reflected his shock and anger, "Too bad for you kid, I'm still a Magic Knight Captain!"

Rill skipped in front of everyone with a pleasant smile, "Haha, Sir Poizot. Please stay still." He lifted his paintbrush and a mix of hues went for Gueldre and before he could blink he was restrained by beautiful greenery.

For a brief moment, Bella felt almost calm watching Rill's magic flow. It had been such a long time since she's seen it this close, but it's still as beautiful and enchanting as she remembers. Rill stood and admired his art proudly.

"Tch, what kind of weak shit are you pulling?" Nozel asked, annoyed that the youngest captain stepped in.

"Because, if I didn't do this. You guys would have taken down the whole building."

He was right. All the Captains were ready to unleash their full power to prevent the traitor from escaping.

Yami took a drag of his cigarette, "Well it's not like us captains could just sit back and watch him do whatever he wants. We should at least get in our poses." he defended before whipping his head around to Dorthy, "You're still sleeping!?"

Nozel opened up his dome and Belladonna was now able to see that all the Captains were in fact ready to attack.

'So cool...' Bella thought.

"His magic allows him to slip through all other kinds of magic so we all needed to do was use things that aren't made by magic and we'd be fine. We could have had the lower ranks repair the place when were done."

'Am I a low rank? Probably... I am a rookie so...' Bella sweat dropped.

"I missed my chance to seriously fight against another Captain! He looked like he was worth slicing in two!" Jack the Ripper complained

"How pathetic... a man trying to run when adversity arises. You're a failure as a Magic Knight Captain, much less a traitor." Charlotte said while glaring and Gueuldre.

"We should leave things as they are now. He might be under the influence of someone else's magic." The Golden Dawn Captain said.

The Wizard King laughed gratefully, "I'm glad you guys were all here to say and do that for me... I really don't know how to restrict my powers."

"Hey, that was pretty cool just now! How did you know where he was? And how did you dispel his magic?!" Rill said excitedly and turned to Asta.

"And Belladonna Senpai! Your reaction skills are so quick, I am thoroughly impressed!" He said and turned to the girl smiling.

Julius' face turned serious as he stared down the traitor. "Right...now then, how about we get down to business, Gueldre."

Belladonna stood quietly and half listened to everyone discuss the crimes he committed. They started to hypothesize the actions he must have committed to allow the terrorists to get into the Clover Kingdom.

She wondered just how long King Julius and Marx were aware that there was a traitor. Her sister had first warned her weeks ago. If those who knew were a bit more observant and careful surely they could've prevented the attack right? Bella slowed her thoughts a bit, if they knew an attack was gonna happen and crucially injure one of their own surely they would have acted to prevent it. Right? So maybe this was the kingdom trying its best. She's just relieved they now have the traitor.
