I love you (pt2)

Quick note! This is kind of a part 2 from the last story, so there will be a few refrences from that. Also sumeru!!!! Anyway, i hope yall enjoy the story, im taking suggestions so any ideas pls say cuz im running out.

~Venti's pov~ (oOoOooh changin it up)

As soon as i woke up this morning, a sharp pain stabbed me right in the head. Jeez, how much did i drink last night?! I rubbed my eyes and sat up. 'goodmorning Venti, hungover?' Y/n said to me, moving the hair out of my face. I nodded and chuckled. 'Im just glad your here for me.' Y/n kissed my cheek and stood up. I layed back down in hopes that my headache would disappear. I started to fall asleep again after a few minutes. Y/n was cooking something in the kitchen, and it smelled amazing. But it was only contributing to my tiredness. I could hear y/n opening the door. 'Venti, I made breakfast.' they said, sitting next to me. But at the time i was only interested in one thing, sleep. 'Venti, you can sleep after breakfast.' and they shook me. I groaned and sat up. 'fineeeee.'

After breakfast I was even more tired than before. Y/n was washing up our plates and i was sitting on the couch. I would have gone back to bed but its way to light outside now, and i cant hear y/n singing from upstairs. Someone knocked on the door. I looked through the peephole, it was Diluc. Whats Diluc doing here? I opened the door and the smile on Diluc's face disappeared quickly. 'Not who you were expecting, hm?' i said. He nodded and handed me a little box. It looked like some kind of gift. 'Its for Y/n, so if you are the one that opens it, your dead.' he said, giving me a terrifying glare. I backed away with my hands in the air as a joke. Y/n noticed Diluc and smiled, receiving a nod in return. And he left. I walked over to y/n and put the box down next to them. 'Open it for me please.' they said. I undid the bow on the box and slowly lifted the lid. It was a necklace, with something engraved in the middle. 'Awe thats sweet of him.' yn said drying their hands and picking it up. The engraved message was in red, and it said thank you on it. They put the necklace around their neck and asked me to clip it at the back. I dont know why, but a feeling of jealousy boiled in my stomach. It was MY job to get y/n gifts, not him! Y/n picked up their phone and started dialing Diluc's number. 'What are you doing, you literally just saw him.' i said, sounding more stern than intended. 'Im saying a proper thank you for the gift.' I heard a 'Hello?' come from the phone and then y/n completely blanked me.

They were on the phone for an hour. A whole HOUR. I tried everything to get y/n's attention, but they just wouldn't notice me. I was annoyed, but not at y/n. I was annoyed at Diluc, for spending more time with my partner than me. Can't he just leave them to me?! More time passed and i was getting touchy. I sat next to y/n on the couch and rested my head on their shoulder. Nothing. I wrapped my arms around their waist and moved their arm so it was around me. They looked at me and laughed. Nothing is funny about this matter! 'well im gonna go now, but it was nice catching up with you.' y/n said. They said goodbye and hung up the phone. 'Finally, how much longer was i going to have to wait.' i whined, burying my head in their chest. They laughed and played with my hair. 'Dont worry im not going to replace you, Diluc is too...uptight, so to speak.' they said. The worry that was floating around in the air disappeared and i sighed in relief. Y/n wrapped her arm around me and pulled me close. 'Hows your head, does it still hurt?' y/n said, twirling my strands of hair around their finger. I nodded and layed in their lap. They started to braid my hair and i closed my eyes. 'Thank you...' i mumbled. I could feel myself slowly losing consciousness as y/n plaited my hair. 'I love you y/n...' was all i could manage before i fell asleep.

Sorry this took so long, ive been busy (exploring Sumeru) but there ya go :)
