Venti x reader oneshots!

Sick day

~third person POV~ (i think anyway)

It was 7 in the morning and your alarm went off. You groaned and turned over, but Venti wasn't at your side to get you up and out of bed. You sat up and rubbed your eyes. You scanned the room with your eyes quickly to double check you weren't being blind. He was nowhere to be seen in there.

You walked out of your bedroom and towards the living room. You could here Venti sniffing and coughing in there. You opened the door slowly and looked inside.

You spotted him out of the corner of your eye. He was was sitting on the couch, wrapped tight in a blanket with his knees to his chest. He was shivering. You opened the door a bit more to see what was going on. You noticed the thermometer and medication on the coffee table and the box of tissues next to him on the couch.

You walked into the room and he notced you. 'Hey y/n, sleep well?' he asked. His voice was raspy and cracked, and his eyes tired. You nodded and sat down next to him. 'Hey, i wouldn't advice that right now, im feeling a bit unwell.' Venti said. You ignored him and put your hand on his head. He was really burning up. 'Don't worry, it will go away soon...' he mumbled.

You got back up. 'How long have you been up for?' you asked. Venti shrugged. 'I dont know, but i came down here straight after i realized i wasn't well, so you wouldn't catch anything.' he said. You smiled. Even though he was sick, he still thought of you, and that made you really happy. 'You didn't have to do that you know.' you said. You pulled out a tea towel from one of your cupboards and ran the tap.

You walked back over to the couch and told Venti to lay down. He did what you asked and you put the wet towel on his head. 'Feel a bit better?' you asked. He gave a weak nod and smiled. You sat on the floor next to him and held his hand. 'You didn't have to do this y/n, im sure i will feel fine later.' Venti said. You shook you head. 'No Venti, your unwell.' you replied sternly. He sighed and looked over at you.

'I've never really felt this unwell before, i always thought archons couldn't get sick...' He said, and he laughed. 'I guess im just weak.' You squeezed his hand. 'Dont be like that, everyone gets sick.'You reassured him. He laughed again. 'I was only kidding, but okay.' he said.

You sat there for a while, talking to Venti while he slowly fell asleep. 'y/n, can i ask you a question?' he mumbled, clearly very sleepy. You hummed in response. 'Do you...think im weak?' he asked. You shook your head. 'Its just that...i never have really been able to do things for myself, and im constantly getting myself into trouble and you always have to help me.' you shook your head again. 'its not like that Venti, i dont mind helping you like this because you also help me, even if you dont realize it.'

Venti lightly sqeezed your hand. 'i love you, y/n. I dont know what i would do without you, really.' he said. You laughed. 'Do you want to sleep up in the bedroom?' you asked. He nodded and went to sit up but you stopped him. 'No, no. I can carry you, your not very heavy.' you said. Venti sighed and relaxed again.

You picked him up and he jumped a bit. 'Its Alright, im not gonna drop you.' you reassured him. He closed his eyes and rested his head on your shoulder. He was really tired. You carried him up the stairs and into your bedroom, where you layed him down on the bed. He moved over to his side and you got in on the other.

You pulled him close to you and he resisted. 'No, your gonna get sick...' he said. You shrugged. 'I dont care Venti, come here.' you said. He groaned, but shuffled into your arms anyway. You wrapped your arms around him and made sure he was fully covered with the blanket. 'Just go to sleep Venti, and when you wake up i will make you some soup, okay?' you said. He nodded and whispered a 'yeah.'

After about five minutes Venti was out like a light bulb, gently snoring and mumbling the occasional few words. You laughed. Venti put his arm around you and rested his head on your chest. You sighed and closed your eyes, letting your dreams take you away.
