Ayanna's P.O.V:
It was finally Friday... But it was still a regular school day. In fact, the school day was about to start. I just wasn't ready yet... I heard my alarm go off for the fifth or sixth time before I cut my attention from my game and rolled over to silence the alarm on my phone. I yawned and stretched out on my bed, my feet hitting the pile of clean, but not yet put away, clothes before I sat up and climbed over the bending bars of my bed.
After about an hour and some minutes of me trudging around my house getting ready, I finally left out locking the door behind me. I walked fast, lightly humming Hello by D-Lite. I'm usually halfway there around this time... But, I was up till maybe two in the morning (over thinking, playing Pokémon, listening to music.. Nothing major).
I rounded the corner and ran up the front steps of Crystal Wave High School. It was a decent sized school, a variety of people from all over. And I literally mean all over. The Philippines, Germany, to name a few, and some within the States. I ran up the steps, slipping past the people going in the opposite direction. I was doing a pretty good job of it.. Until I bumped into someone who was a couple inches taller than me. "Ah! I'm sorry -" "Ne, watch where your going." he interrupted me and he spoke in fluent Japanese. He looked me up and down then walked off, leaving me with a perplexed look on my tired face.
I walked in class and sat down, taking my headphones off. I felt someone tap my shoulder and first instinct was to smack their hand away, but I turned around to be greeted by a lighter skinned girl with shiny brown hair. "Oh hey Nikera." I said, laughing a bit. "Hey! You made it on time today, " she said in a joking manner then sat next to me. "Did you remember that we're getting new students?" Nikera asked. "Maybe.." I muttered. The teacher called our attention and the collective chatter ceased.
"As you all, hopefully, know.. We are welcoming two new students to our class and the Crystal Wave family, " she began, her accent indicating that she was from a Spanish-speaking country. Two males then walked and stood on either side of the teacher. "So, I would like to introduce Stefphan Blue and... I'm sorry, what was your name again?" she asked. The male had jet black hair and eyes that are the color of sand burning under the sun in the Sahara.. And he just so happens to be the guy I bumped into in the hall. "Akiza Breeze.." he replied quietly.
Nikera tugged at my shirt and leans in closer to me. "They're actually pretty cute!" she whispered. She wasn't wrong about that, it just seemed like the somewhat shorter male, Stefphan, was friendly. He had curly hair that was being held back by a pair of goggles on his head, which looked pretty good on him. And his smile was nice, too. But Akiza's expression was stone cold..
