Nikera POV:
Ayanna hung up the phone but I didn't think much of it. Maybe our call disconnected. I decided to hop into the shower, I let the warm water run down my body as I tried to relax. My relaxation was interrupted by a loud bang downstairs. I slammed the shower off, wrapped a towel tight around my body, and tiptoed out. I stood in front of the bathroom, listening to who was here and where they were. "Do you see it?" One guy said. "Not a thing. Let's try upstairs" the other guy responded. My heart started racing as fear filled my body. I quickly searched my surroundings to find a place to hide. I ran to the first door I saw when I heard foot steps walking upstairs. I hid in the bathroom supply closet where I saw the locked door across from this room. The door was cracked enough for me to watch the tall, buff men stand in front of the locked door. Their eyes turned from dark brown to red and they looked evil. One of the men began sniffing the air and smirked. "There's a human here" my grandmother ran from her room and faced them. "You must leave" she said fearfully. The guy who sniffed the air grabbed her by her neck and threw her against the wall. No no no. They broke the locked door down and it appeared to be a regular closet but the men couldn't walk in there. We're they vampires? No they can't be because they were able to walk into my house. What were they? Tears rolled down my face as I thought about what happened to my grandmother. " I believe that you guys over stayed your welcome" I heard another voice say. "Ahh Stefphan. Nice to see you" Stefphan! What was he doing here? " lets kill the small talk and go straight to the part where I kill you" "I'd love to see you try" the guy ran towards Stefphan to throw a punch but Stefphan dodged it and stabbed him in his gut. The second guy came after Stefphan, actually got a hit but was thrown over my stairs banister and Stefphan jumped down after him. I walked out of the closet and stared at the first guy laying on my floor in fear. I flinched when I heard Stefphan beating the guy downstairs. I began to breathe heavy and my heart wouldn't slow down. I ran to my grandmother and found her breathing. "Go with Stegphan." She said, struggling to speak. I hardly new Stefphan and I wondered how she knew him but that wasn't my main concern. I helped my grandmother up and walked her to her bed. "You'll be safe with him" I knew my grandmother wasn't lying because she wouldn't send my to leave with a complete stranger, I trusted her. I threw some sweatpants and a t-shirt on, then met Stefphan downstairs. "Don't worry, I'll explain everything" I nodded, still in shock. He hugged me tight as a way to comfort me, to try and help me forget what had happen but I couldn't forget. I can only imagine what they would've done to me if they found me, my grandmother risked her life to save mine. "Let's go." He said. We walked to the car that Akeza and Ayanna were in. "Are you ok?!" Ayanna asked. Tears filled my eyes as I shook my head. "No. I'm not ok" No one spoke. I wondered if the same had happened to Ayanna and that's why she's is, I wondered who and what those men were, and I wondered when Stefphan would explain everything to me. I actually didn't want to know, at least not right now.
