THREE MONTHS LATER...

The wind was strong as Eleanor walked down a pathway towards the 21st. She walked up to the police department, bag slung over shoulder. Antonio smiled as he saw her approach, him standing to the side of the building waiting for Jules..

"You look tired." He commented, he was right Eleanor looked like she had hardly any sleep last night.

"Thanks, Dani snuck out... Again." Antonio nodded as they walked.

"Boyfriend's?" Eleanor nodded, humming.

"Yep, I caught her. She was sneaking into a window of a two story house, do you know how dangerous that is." Antonio laughed.

"Because you totally don't do that or jump onto moving vehicles." Eleanor rolled her eyes laughing slightly.

"Yeah gave Jay one hell of a fright first time working together." They laughed before watching as Jules' car drives up. Eleanor turned on her heels to face him.

"I'll meet you up." Antonio nods before Eleanor races up the stairs.

"Morning Trudy." Eleanor hummed as she passed.

"Morning Sunshine." Eleanor chuckled as she walked past smiling at the desk Sargent before walking into the intelligence unit.

"Hey Eleanor." Alvin waved as she dumped her bags on her desk across from Jay. He looked up and smiled.

"You okay?" Eleanor tilted her head to the side thinking for a second.

"Not even close." She sighed as they walked into the meeting room.

"Why? Something happen?" Eleanor made her way to the coffee machine, Jays sweet, he actually was concerned. She was lucky to have a partner like him.

"Yep, thing about yay high, sixteen years old and full of attitude." Jay laughed.

"Danielle?" Eleanor kissed her teeth, humming as she poured her self a cup of coffee. "That stuff will kill ya now, apparently. Saw an article online." Jay commented looking at the cup of coffee she pours.

"You read that crap?" Jay nodded before holding a mug out. Eleanor looked at him amused, "Please." He said before she filled his cup up.

"Caitlin was asking about you." Eleanor said, as she took a sip of her coffee leaning against the counter.

"Oh, yeah, tell her I say hi." Jay brushed off, trying to be nice.

"So no interest on your part?" Eleanor asked looking to him.

"She's super sweet, but my loss." The door to the room opens and Jin walks past, ducking his head in.

"Hey, you guys seen Voight around?"

"No, Why?" Eleanor asked, Jin hesitated before shaking his head

"Nothing," He walked out, Eleanor and Jay watched him go. Weird feeling setting in Eleanors stomach.

"You find him a bit..." Jay asked, leading off. Eleanor hummed, eyes still trained on the door in thought.

"Secretive? Uh huh," She nodded before turning back to him as they exited the room.

"But you... I am never setting you up again." Eleanor said to Jay.

"What? Why not?" Eleanor turned back to him,

"Because you don't know a good thing when you see it."

"I do too." Eleanor looked at him as they made her way to her desks,

"Okay give me one example." Jay looks at her amused, as he went through examples in his head.

"Oh, I went to Mollys yesterday, and they were doing special drinks. That was a good thing right." Eleanor laughed throwing her head back.

"You're unbelievable."

"What?" Eleanor looked at him shaking her head before down at her phone as it buzzed.

Dani ❤️

'I'll be late tonight, staying at Maggies to do homework.'

Eleanor groaned at the text. "What's wrong?" Before Eleanor could answer Erin walked in.

"Hey," Eleanor and Jay said at the same time looking at Erin. Erin tilted her head towards Chris who sat laying on is desk asleep.

"I think he pulled a night shift." Jay said looking towards Erins sleeping partner. Erin looked away from her partner towards Eleanor who looked tired.

"Whats up with you?" Eleanor signed looking down at the text again

"You reckon this texts legit or..." Eleanor showed Erin and Jay the text.

"As much as your sister amuses me. Hell no," Jay said reading it over. "Sixteen year old girl willingly doing homework on a Friday night?" Eleanor rain a hand through her hair knowing where Jay was leading to and sadly she knew he was spot on.

"No, she's defiantly going to a party or..." Erin trailed off and Eleanor sighed rubbing her head.

"Or going to have sex with her boyfriend." Eleanor said closing her eyes.

Jay nodded looking back down at is computer as Voight walked in. Two other cops followed, Eleanor glanced up before looking back down at her laptop.

"All right, listen up." Eleanor put her pone down looking tonight. "Got a name on those dope deaths. It's a dealer named Rev on South Emerald. As soon as Olinsky gets here, we're gonna..." Hank started to order before Alvin leaned back looking to Voight. Eleanor chuckled at the amusing situation

"Over here, hey." Alvin leaned back showing him halfway done eating a banana.

"Hey Alvin," Voight greeted.

"Hank," They shortly greeted each other, it might have seemed awkward but Eleanor knew it was just normal with Alvin, he's a mystery.

"We're gonna set up a controlled buy... Halstead and Marshall in the doorway. Do not go inside, Lindsay, Parker waiting across the street." Eleanor and ay nodded at him waiting for further instructions.

"Got it. All right, one more thing... we've been doing this, what, two months? Now more than ever, we keep everything in house. Understand? I don't care how they run other departments or how you came up. This is Intelligence... my unit. You tell me the truth, so I can lie for you. And if you ever go over my head, it'll be the last head you go over. Everybody goes home tonight." Hank left after giving an intense speech. More like threat. Eleanor grabbed her bag standing up. She placed her gun in the back of her jeans tucking her t-shirt over the weapon. She sighed tiredly. The hard part was yet to come.
