Eleanor leaned against the back wall watching as Hank and Antonio interrogated Ernesto. Jay stood arms leaning against the on way mirror, Eleanor was still a bit off from what happened before. Jay didn't want to say anything about how Hank had snapped at Eleanor, as long as he had known her he knew that her and Voight were close. But he couldn't figure out why.
She tapped her hand against her thigh trying to stand still, watching as Antionio got mad before storming out. Eleanor walked forward going closer to the window.
"I don't know. I'm glad I wasn't Antonio back there." He turned his head to the ginger watching as her eyes remained on Ernesto. "You?"
"Oh, I wish I was, 'cause I know exactly what I would have done. I just wouldn't do it out in a street." Jay pursed his lips looking forward.
"What did happen in the street?" Eleanor sighed wrapping her arms around herself.
"I don't even know." Jay nodded glancing at Eleanor's neutral face. they remained there for a second before Eleanor removed herself from the room walking towards the break room. Pouring herself a cup of coffee she rubbed her head, a headache coming on. She sighed softly walking down the hall way but stopping when she spots the file from before, sitting on a table, Voight must have pulled it out the bin. She grabbed the file walking around the corner before sliding down the wall sitting against the wall. Se took a sip form her coffee staring at the file.
She stared for a while forgetting about the time that had past, before footsteps made her wipe her eyes. She looked up seeing Jay walk up to her tilting his head down at her before sitting down next to her.
"El?" She shook her head trying to wipe her eyes form the half fallen tears.
"Nothing, I'm being stupid." He looked down at the file that sat leaning against her thighs. He reached over slowly, seeing if she'd let him take it. She didn't stop him letting him pick up the file. Jay opened the file eyes flicking to the name of the CI, and the photo next to it.
JOSHUA MARSHALL
His eyes scanned the page and widened slightly as he came across the next line.
DESEASED
Jay shut the file placing it one the other side of him looking to Eleanor who was staring blankly at the wall.
"Eleanor, you're not being stupid he was your brother."
"He died infant of me when I was 10."
"How?" Eleanor hesitated thinking over her words. She didn't need him to know that her dad abused her, or that he shot and killed her mother and brother.
"He was shot." Eleanor remained plain and simple, and Jay was picking up that she had let him in but wasn't ready to tell him everything.
"Were you close?" Eleanor nodded playing with her hands in.
"This is so stupid, it was 16 years ago." Eleanor huffed, Jay turned to her pulling her into a hug.
"Eleanor he was your brother, you're allowed to feel however stupid you like."
Eleanor didn't answer she just stared at the blank wall ahead.
Jay had known this girl for 3 months. What else didn't he know that was so significant in her life.

The stubbornness of Harley Martin was able to persuade the desk sergeant to let her go in with her best friend Gabby and the Dawson family. Harley walked up the step to the intelligence area walking slightly ahead of the others. She nodded to Antonio walking past him down the hall looking for either Voight, Halstead or her cousin. Considering those are really the only people she knows. Jay from the undercover he worked, pretty much saving her life. She keeps walking until she finds Jay looking over a file of sorts. He looked up sending a friendly smile to Harley.
"What are you doing here Martin?" Jay closed the file as Harley leaned against the bench.
"Looking for my cousin, what about you Halstead?" He raised his eyebrows at her confused.
"Working," Harley rolled er eyes whacking him.
"I know that dimwit." She looked down at the file he was working through. She caught the name plastered on the top. She looked at him confused. "Why are you looking into the murder of Joshua?" Jay shrugged, placing the file on a shelf.
"I don't know, something doesn't feel right about it." Harley hummed nodding.
"I mean nothing would. Eleanor was 10, her father beat her mother to death, before shooting her brother as he tried to stop the man." Jay's eyes widened looking up at Eleanors cousin.
"It was her father?" Harley nodded, confused.
"Yeah, he struck a deal with the DA's office somehow got 6 years off his sentence." Harley shock her head scoffing. "He was a sick bastard." Jay nodded pursing his lips. This seems like something he shouldn't have found out from by Eleanors cousin. It was definitely something he shouldn't have been looking into and it was definitely something that Eleanor might not have trusted him enough to tell him.
"Hey I've got to get back, but if I see Eleanor I'll tell her you're looking for her." Jay jumped up, walking out of the filing room.
"Cya, Halstead,"
"Bye Martin."
