The next day
The boys had moved back to their mansion and had decided to not go over to their apartment after having a mystery girl reveal their flat, which was supposedly lead to unwanted attention.
As usual, Callahan was the last one to wake up. He walked into the kitchen to see Aiden and Finlay were already awake.
"Morning!" Callahan said, sitting down as he laid his head on the countertop.
"Morning sleepyhead!" Finlay and Aiden said together.
"So about that song..." Aiden began. Finlay and Aiden were discussing about a new song, while Callahan still laid on the countertop.
"Hey Cal! You listening!?" Aiden said, hitting his head."Oh yeah yeah..." Callahan said sitting up. "I...umm...I'm going on a walk!"
"Really Cal!? You are a real pain in the ass!" Aiden said.
"I'll take that as a compliment!" Callahan said with a smile as he grabbed his hoodie and walked out. At this time of the day, people are always in a rush and are too busy to even notice him. He walked to the park and after a few rounds he saw the same girl who had come to their house the previous day. She was sitting on a bench. He walked to her.
"Hello!" he said. She did not hear him. He then saw that she had her earpods on. He waved in front of her. She looked at him and took off one of them.
"Oh please...the seat's not taken!" she said moving aside. He sat down next to her.
"Hello!" he said, to which she replied back the same. There was silence for moment between the both of them.
"About yesterday..." he was saying."I left your jacket at the door!" she said.
"What!?" he asked.
"I left it at your door in the morning! Waited for a few minutes, rang the doorbell too! No one came, so I left it at the door! Washed, of course!" she explained.
"You didn't have to!" he said with a smile. She just nodded. "I'm Callahan, by the way! Callahan Pine!"
"Great!" she said, a bit awkwardly, looking away from him.
"Okay, you clearly don't know who I am!" he said.
"I'm sorry...Am I supposed to know you!?" she asked turning towards him, smiling. Callahan knew she was being sarcastic. He smiled.
"Trust issues!?" he asked with a smile, tilting his head. She turned away from him.
"Okay let's start this over!" he said looking at her.
"I'm Callahan Pine! I'm in a band called "Necessarily Bad"! I happen to be the youngest of the band! Aiden, he is the eldest and our leader! And then there's Fin, who can be a pain in the ass!"She nodded, looking away from him and he continued telling about himself. At one point of time, she lost her patience.
"God! Do you ever stop speaking!?" she said, frustrated. "I get it! You are supposed to be famous! And I honestly don't give a shit about it!"
"We could be friends!" he said shrugging. She cocked an eyebrow. "Why not!?"
"I'm not the 'make-friends' type of a person!" she said.
"I can say!" he said.
"Good then! And thank you for this wonderful talk..." she said, standing up. She looked at him.
"...about you!""I still didn't get your name!" he said. She sighed.
"You've told me about yourself today, the next time we meet, I'll tell you everything about me! How about that!?" she said.
"It's a small town!" he said, looking around.
"Great! Until next time, Pinecone!" she said with a smile and walked away from him. Callahan smiled to himself listening to her call him 'Pinecone'
"Until next time!" he said, a bit loudly. She waved as she still walked away from him.
He smiled to himself and walked towards home, where the boys were waiting for him."Where were you!?" Aiden asked him.
"I told you! I wanted to go out for a walk!" Callahan said sitting down with a sigh.
"You run away like this again...I swear, I'll find another singer!" Aiden said. Callahan knew he was joking.
"Right okay!" Callahan said, smiling.
The boys continued working on their new song and Callahan hoped to see the mystery girl soon.
