It's been two days since the accident and Callahan still hasn't seen Bellatrix anywhere. He stopped by Kennedy's to see if she was there. But he had Mr. Kennedy telling him that she hasn't come to work. Callahan was beginning to get worried and he wasn't sure if he could go to her home.
He went on his usual evening walks. After a lot of thinking, he decided to go to Bellatrix's home. He wore his hooded sweater, hoping no one would notice him. He rang the doorbell. No one opened the door. He rang it again. But this time her mother opened the door.

"Callahan, dear! What a lovely surprise!" Veronica said with a smile.

"Hey Aunt V!" he greeted her.

"Come on in!" she said, opening the door, wide open and moving aside. He walked inside.
"How are you, dear!?"

"I'm fine, thank you!" he said. "How are you!?"

"Never better!" she said with a smile. "Come sit!"
Callahan sat down on the couch.

"Thank you!" he said.

"Would you like some coffee!? I was just making some!" she asked him.

"It's okay! I was just passing by!" he said, politely.

"Oh come on! what's a little coffee!?" she said with a smile.

"Okay!" he said with a chuckle.

"Great!" she said, smiling and walked into the kitchen. "What brings you here!?"

"I just wanted to see how you were!" he said. She walked into the hall with the coffee and handed a cup to Callahan.

"Thank you!" he said.

"I'm totally fine, dear!" she said.

"That's great!" he said, sipping his coffee. "How's Bellatrix!?"

"She's fine! She was busy the past two days...with the bank and everything!" she said.

"Bank!?" he asked.  She sighed.

"With this accident, we had to pay the bills! I had made a insurance policy in case something happened when I would not be there...we ended up using it for me!" she said, faking a smile.
Callahan just looked at her. She was lost in thought for a moment.
"It's okay, we'll get through it!" she said, smiling.

"How much did it all cost!?" he asked, when the bell rang.

"That's B!" she said, keeping her cup down. "I'll be right back!"
Callahan nodded.
"What happened!? he heard Veronica asking Bellatrix, who was explaining something he could quite hear. He heard her voice getting louder. She walked into the hall, but didn't notice him at first and then she looked at him.

"Hey..." she said shocked. "What...umm...what are you doing here!?"

"I was just...passing by...figured I could drop by!" he said, standing up.

"Right..." she said with a smile, as she looked at him. "Would you like something to eat or..."

"No...your mother gave me coffee! Thanks!" he said, pleasantly.

"Great!" she chuckled. There was a moment of silence between the two of them.

"I should be leaving, then..." he said.

"Uhh...yeah okay! I'll walk you to the door!" she said. They walked to the door. Callahan really wanted to ask her out, but didn't know how to. But before he walked out the door, he finally picked up the guts to ask her. He turned towards her.

"Will you go out with me!?" he asked.

"What!?" she asked. He took a deep breathe.

"We could go out...for coffee or something..." he said. She cocked an eyebrow.
"N-Not like a date...just as friends..." he said, nervously. She still looked at him.
"It's okay if you don't want to...I just asked..."

"As friends!" she said. He looked at her, confused. "Okay...but just to be clear, it's not a date!"

"Oh! Okay...umm...great!" he said with a nervous chuckle. "You free tomorrow!?"

"It is a holiday tomorrow! Except for work! So I will be busy in the evening!" she said.

"Right! Yeah okay! I'll pick you up in the morning then!?" he asked.

"No!" she chuckled. "How about we meet at the coffee shop where you met my mum!?"

"Yeah, great! Okay!" he said, with a relieved smile. "You won't stand me up, will you!?"

"It's not a date!" she said, tilting her head.

"No what I meant was..." he was trying to explain.

"I know what you meant!" she chuckled. He looked at her. "Don't worry, I'll be there!"

"How about at 10!?" he asked.

"Umm....11!?" she said, with a nervous smile. "Lazy mornings!"

"Oh okay..." he said with a slight laugh. She smiled as she looked at him. "11 then!"

"I'll be there!" she smiled at him.

"I'll see you tomorrow!" he smiled at her.

"I will!" she said, smiling back. He nodded. She smiled at him as she slowly closed the door.
Callahan smiled to himself as he walked through town. Bellatrix too smiled to herself as she walked back to her mother.

"You are happy!" her mother said, smiling at her.

"What!?" Bellatrix asked, still smiling.

"He asked you out!?" her mother asked with a smirk.

"What!? No!" she said, with a nervous smile. "He just asked if we could meet tomorrow and considering that I am free tomorrow...I agreed!"

"Uh-huh!" her mother said. She looked at her mother.

"No, no, NO!" she protested. "I do not like him!"

"I never said you did, my love!" her mother said. "You said that yourself!"

"I am just telling you...before you fall in wrong conclusions!" she said.

"Okay okay!" her mother said. "Come on! Let's eat!"
Her mother walked to into the hall. But Bellatrix started thinking. Was she really in love with the town-famous singer!? Had one incident really changed things between them!? Why did she feel so happy when she saw him at his home!? She was still figuring out.
Meanwhile on the other side of town, Callahan already knew he was in love with his mystery girl.
