The next day, as usual, Callahan went on his morning walks. But today, he left earlier as he wanted to meet his 'Mystery girl'. He first went to the park, hoping to see her there but she was not there. He waiting there for sometime but then left. He felt like stopping by to the coffee shop and meet Jessica. He walked to the coffee shop but couldn't see Jessica. He asked one of the employee there if Jessica was there from whom he got to know that Jessica now does only the evening shift and not in the mornings. He got some coffee and sat down in a corner, scrolling through his phone. He was done with his coffee and was about to leave when two women walked through the door. Looking at one of them brought a smile on his face as it was none other than his mystery girl. The other was older than her but not too old. They sat down at a table. He waited for them to settle down because he thought she'd walk out if she saw him there. Once they had settled down, he walked up to their table.

"Hello!" he said with a smile. They looked up at her. She was shocked to see him that she kept her coffee on the table. The other woman was confused.
"Could I!?" he said, pointing at the other chair, to which the confused woman agreed. He sat down in front of her.
"You didn't tell me you had a sister!" he began the conversation, looking at his mystery girl.

"I didn't tell you anything!" she said with a scorn.

"Sister!?" the other woman spoke up. She chuckled. "Oh no! I'm her mother!"
Callahan did not expect that.

"I'm sorry... I-I thought..." he spluttered.

"It's okay!" she said with a smile. "So you know each other!?"

"No!" said her daughter, while Callahan said yes in unison. They looked at each other.

"We do...I thought we could be friends as you are new in town, new person, new friend, I thought! But she kind of...turned me down!" Callahan explained.

"B!" her mother said looking at her.

"Oh come on, mum! Stop! Please!" she said.

"Okay so, I'm Veronica Morgan!" her mother said introducing herself as he gave him a handshake.

"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am!" Callahan said, shaking her hand. "I'm Callahan Pine!"

"Oh please! Call me Veronica!" she said.
"This is my daughter, Bellatrix Morgan! I call her B for short! You could too!"

"Bellatrix!" he said, looking at her, with a smile. She scorned.

"She can be a little pain in the ass..." her mother said with a smile.

"Mum!" Bellatrix protested. Callahan smiled.

"...but once she opens up, she's good! The only problem with her is opening up!" her said sipping the coffee. "She's crazy for football!"

"Football!?" Callahan asked with amazement.

"Mum! Stop! Enough! You don't even know him!" Bellatrix said.

"B! You said he was your friend! and you opening up to people itself is great! So I can help a bit!" her mother explained.

"I never said he was my friend!" she protested.

"Oh come on, B!" she said, calming her down. She looked at Callahan.
"Don't worry about her! She'll come around eventually!"

"Hopefully, she will!" Callahan said with a smile, looking at Bellatrix, while she looked at him, annoyed.

"So the thing is, we are new to town..." her mother started explaining.

"Yeah, I figured that out!" Callahan said with a chuckle.
