Hey guys!! Thank you so much for giving Everlasting a chance <3 It's been a long journey (over 3 years lmao) and it never felt right that it never got a proper ending :(

Classic reminders of the whole Y/n = your name, m/n = mum's name, and d/n = dad's name

I hope you enjoy!

3rd person POV:

The feeling of absolute dread filled Y/n L/n's stomach as she stood place in front of her fireplace. Just standing there had her nearly trembling.

She wasn't sure if she was truly prepared for the world beyond after she stepped into the fireplace.

The Wizarding World.

Where all lines pointed that it was where Y/n belonged.

Her mum, not only being famous among the wizards for being the first of her kind as a new type of Veela and also the first Veela to attend Hogwarts, worked for the Ministry of Magic.

Her mum and dad had chosen to raise
Y/n in America before they split when she was ten, leaving her mum m to regain her position at the Ministry and move her and Y/n back to the heart of the Wizarding World in London.

Despite this, Y/n only had the chance of seeing the world she felt a tug towards through windows, news, and word of her mother.

Sometimes she felt more connected with the Muggles, however unaware they may be.

But now, only a few weeks after her eleventh birthday she was set to start her adventure at Hogwarts.

"Are you ready, dear?" a mumble brushed against her ear as her mum gave her arm a pat.

Y/n turned towards her, willing a small smile onto her face.

She didn't want her mum to know about the anxiety racking her body at the thought of leaving for school. At the uncertainty of new friends, of information she's missed out on, and, to be frank, going off into the unknown.

But she wanted to make her mum proud, to make her finally give a smile that lit up her eyes as her mum wrapped her into a warm hug.

The kind of hug she hadn't experienced since she was a small child, clinging on to her mum and dad any chance she got.

"Hey?" her mum questioned, hoping to gain the girl's attention.

"Sorry," Y/n said slowly, rocking on the heels of her feet. "But yeah, I'm ready."

"Good."

The grip on her trunk tightened, her nails nearly cutting into her palm as her mum's grip tightened.

"So the powder will transport me right onto the platform?" Y/n nearly squeaked out.

"If it's done correctly," her mother established. "and after that you'll be lead onto the train."

Maybe it would've been easier if Y/n had been allowed to try out the Floo system beforehand.

Maybe it would've been easier if her mum would come with her.

"You're going to be fine, Y/n," her mum stated, as if reading her mind, "and I will miss you very much."
