Going through first year for the third time is😁 so 😁 much 😁 fun 😁
So going through I noticed some mistakes I made when writing originally, so Y/n will not be eating pork products or other haram/ non-kosher items or anything that is not eaten due to religious reasons.
This will be one of the few food adjustments because it can be a lot to get rid of all animal products since all she would have left would be like toast or something since it's Hogwarts and you already know their food palette  💀
If I ever make a mistake food-wise or I accidentally make anything too specific for her appearance (hair, complexion, etc) please tell me!
3rd person POV:
As Y/n waited for Harry and Ron the next morning, she wrote to her mum, writing to her about her new friends, the sorting ceremony, and finally asking about that Agrippa card for Ron.
She was glad it was easy to make new friends, She had been completely anxiety-ridden over it since she had gotten her letter.
Hermione left about half an hour before breakfast started and she pleaded Y/n to come with her so she wouldn't be late. The h/c was nearly pushing her out the door at the end, repeatedly telling her she would be fine.
About fifteen minutes before class started, Ron and Harry finally came out of their dorm.
"Took you two long enough," she called out, walking out of the doorway.
The boys caught up quickly enough, sputtering out apologies as they walked to our classes.
"There look!"
"Where?"
"The one with the glasses."
"Next to the tall kid with red hair."
"That one?"
"And there's the half-Veela!"
"She doesn't look very-"
"Just wait a couple of years."
Whispers followed their group as they passed by, thanks to Harry being present and Y/n's parentage.
They would stand on their tippy toes to catch a glance at him, or double back to stare at Y/n. She wish they wouldn't because they were trying to get to class on time, and they were running behind to begin with.
There was one hundred and forty-two staircases at Hogwarts and sometimes there were tricks that they had to learn. Some were rickety, some old, some wide, some led to a different place on Fridays, and some had vanishing steps.
Overall, staying at Hogwarts would take a lot of memorization. Portraits moved, there were anti opening doors, and ghost would unexpectedly glided through the doors you were trying to open. Nearly Headless Nick was always happy to point new Gryffindors in the right direction, but Peeves was worth two locked doors and a trick staircase if you were late for class.
He would drop wastepaper baskets on top of your head, pull rugs from underneath your feet, pelt you with pieces or chalk, or sneak up behind you, invisible, grab your nose and scream, "GOT YOUR CONK!"
The only person worse than Peeves was the caretaker, Argus Filch. Harry, Ron, and Y/n managed to get on the wrong side of him on the very first morning. They were trying to force their way through a door, which unluckily turned out to be an entrance to the forbidden corridor. He hadn't believed them when they tried to tell him they were lost, he threatened to lock them in the dungeon before Professor Quirell saved them.
