'I will marry you.' I told Gideon catching him completely off guard.
'Oh Shelley. I couldn't be happier.' he replied taking me into his arms.

The time now came to drink the vial before the sun was completely up. I want the second sun after this battle to be the first sun I see. The vial actually tasted like a sweet cotton candy flavor which was interesting to say the least.

I felt myself get drowsy and I didn't know how long I was out for. I felt the soul that I was had as a vampire leave and a new soul of a lighter being enter my body. I felt the burn in my throat leave me.
I felt my senses charge three times than that of my vampire form. Were fairies this powerful? I wondered in my sleep light state.

I knew I could open my eyes now because I could feel the transformation was complete. I opened my eyes and the first person I saw was the sun glowing through the window. Gideon must have opened the shade to show me that I no longer had to hide in the shadows.

'You look beautiful as ever Shelley.' he told me as he took my hand and helped me up. My body didn't seem different, but I knew that there was something added to it. I changed out my vampire fangs for fairie wings.

Behind me were glowing wings with a tint of red in them.
'Why are my wings a tint of red?' I asked out of curiosity.
'Because you were once a vampire, your aura was red, so they went the shade of your aura. But don't worry the red will fade in time.' he reassured me.
'But when I drank the potion Fira gave me to temporarily have wings, my wings were of a different color.' I informed him.
'Yes, different potions can work differently, because hers was temporary it will give you a generic color in wings. But with this one since it will be your permanent change your wings can now change colors.' he told me

Since I had flown before it didn't take me long too long to fly again and show Gideon what I could do. I did seem to forget but it didn't take me long to adjust.

The sun was a little sensitive on my eyes, but I wasn't afraid of it. I hadn't been a vampire for very long, so I knew what to expect. I could feel the aura of my wings change color from red to bright blue.

'So, our wings change color depending on our mood?' I asked.
'Yes sometimes. But you'll be able to control what color they are given time.' he told me.
I felt like a newborn all over again. Having to learn about myself all over again. I felt free and ready for my next adventure.
Before I knew it, we were flying above the courtyard. I could see Fira down below clapping with happiness as she could see I had wings again and she knew they were permanent given the fact I was out in the sunlight and not turning to dust.

'How do you feel?' Gideon asked while taking my hands.
'I feel great.' I told him and then I started to fall as I had lost concentration of what I needed to stay focused on. Before I knew it, Gideon had me in his arms.
'I got you. Maybe I shouldn't have distracted you while you're still learning.' he told me with a chuckle and helped me regain me concentration.

I thanked everyone including Fira for coming out to fight with us. I told her I was going with Gideon and he gave her the location. She was welcome anytime she wanted. I had managed to find a few vampires still hiding out from a clan that hasn't left yet. I asked them if they had a place to call home. They told me no, so I offered them the castle in return for their contribution to it. I found the deed in Dravens office and signed it to them. They thanked me for what I had done and said this was still my home if I ever needed to come back.

It felt nice to get the castle off my chest and be able to move on from this place. It brought great change to my life, but it wasn't my destiny. I was meant to meet Gideon in this great battle. I wished people had not died but life has a fate for everyone.

'Are you ready to leave?' Gideon asked.
'I think so. Where is your land?' I asked.
'Well it's on Earth but in a different realm where humans can't find. Don't worry if you ever want to visit the human world I'll show you how to get back, so we can come visit.' he told me.
'Oh, and one more thing. The time between the human world and the fairie land is that our land time moves differently. In twenty years in our realm will be a hundred in the human world.' Gideon told me.

'Well let's do this. I can't wait to see your world.' I replied with a smile.
'You mean our world.' he corrected me and gave me a kiss as we flew into the direction of the sun.

The sun wasn't hot because we were now traveling faster than a speed I could ever see.
We got through a burst of clouds and came upon a land of what appeared to be ever green fields. I looked in the distance and saw a castle in the distance. It appeared to glisten in the sunlight. I could see other fairies flying below us. They were cheering and welcoming their Prince home.

We made it to a balcony of the castle and I had to catch my breath from all the beauty that was around us. I wonder honestly if I had died during the battle because this place was as if it were heaven. It was too surreal.

'Have I died?' I asked.
'No, you're not dead. But welcome to your new home. How do you like it Princess?' he asked with a smile.
'It's so beautiful here.' I told him

'Will you marry me?' Gideon asked again while on his knee. He had the ring he had presented back at the castle in his hand.
'Yes Gideon. I would love to be your wife.' I told him.

I guess he wanted to ask again while I was in his land to make sure that was what I wanted, and I was sure this was what I wanted.

He took me into his arms and sealed our destiny with a kiss. A kiss I looked forward to for the rest of my days. I never knew that my life could come to this. A simple journalist who traveled to Transylvania who became a vampire queen who ended up taking on a great battle to avenge her dead husband and fell in love with a fairie prince. I never knew I could become such a being and this is my best form yet.

My days were going to better from here on out. With Gideon by my side. We are unstoppable.

The End.
