Chapter Thirteen

'Shelley I can't stand being away from you anymore.' Gideon told me as he put his arms around me.
'Then don't leave.' I told him
'Shelley, I love you. I have since the moment you spoke.' he told me.
'I love you too Gideon. My soul feels at home with yours.' I replied.

We embraced in a passionate kiss that soon lead to the removing of each other's clothes. He had such a beautiful body that was built and chiseled to a perfect sculpture. I found myself kissing and wanting every inch of him. He kissed my body and made me want him deep inside of him before he had a chance to even get his pants off.

I never imagined I could make love with someone who wasn't human but after becoming a vampire I guess anything was possible. Making love to a prince who comes from a land of fairies was something almost magical. He started to glow as he was starting to climax.

'Oh, fuck Shelley.' he moaned
'What are you doing to me?' he said again after he came.
'I want all of you Gideon. I want every inch that you have.' I moaned back.
'Then take it. Take every inch that you desire.' he gripped me hard and thrusted deeper inside making me gasp.

We made love for the rest of the night. It was the most beautiful feeling I had ever experienced. I had never had this feeling with anyone before. I never wanted it to end but unfortunately, I had some unfinished business.

'My love is there anything I can get for you?' Gideon asked after he cleaned us both up and started to get dressed.
'I want all this to be over with already so that I can live a normal life.' I laughed and rolled over on the bed to hide myself under the covers.
'Then why don't we just leave and let Marlot take the castle?' he suggested.

I wanted to be mad at his suggestion, but I understood.
'I can't leave. I at least owe Draven that much.' I told him
'I know you want to stay but you could always come back to my land and be safe with my people.' he replied with reassurance.
'We could go after I defeat Marlot.' I told him.

It was settled that if we win this war that we would leave and go back to his land and I could meet his people.

'Shelley!' I heard Fira calling for me.
'Fira, what is it?' I asked.
'Marlot will be here tomorrow. He just sent over a letter. Look!' she told me as she handed me a letter addressed to me.

"Queen,

The castle will be mine. I arrive at sunset tomorrow.

Signed,
Marlot"

Fuck I thought to myself.
'Okay guys it's time we got into full battle mode. At this point depending on the size of his army it will be every man for himself.' I told both Fira and Gideon.

'Yes, ma'am I will get my people together and we will prepare.' Fira told me and left.
'I will also get my men together. But please will you stay close to my side so that I know I can keep you safe?' Gideon asked.
'I will stay close but please watch over your men. I will be fine.' I told him.
'Very well. I will meet you in the courtyard.' he replied and kissed me before he left for the courtyard.

I knew I had to be ready and this was it. There was no more practicing to be done. I had to sharpen my sword and be ready for the worst. I didn't know how tomorrow would pan out, but I wanted it to be done so that I could move on with my life.

I looked out over the courtyard from the balcony and saw everyone preparing battle. A Lot of these people will give their life for this castle in honor of Draven and I will do the very same.
We could hear stomping in the distance as the army was approaching to be as close as they could get before sun could rise.

Marlot wasn't scared of an ambush because most of us were vampires which made it hard to travel in the day. I wish we could ambush and take them all out in one sweep. I watched as everyone started to clear out and go into the darkness so avoid the sun.

It was almost time and we all waited for the results. I was scared for everyone who was here and willing to risk it all. I decided if we won the battle I would board up the castle and leave it for a while and spend some time in another place. I don't know if I would ever come back. I wanted to leave all the memories that were made here to stay here.

The sun was finally about to go down and it was low enough to where everyone had come out and placed themselves in battle formation.
It was time to go out into the courtyard and face the enemy I had never met. The cousin of Draven that wanted this castle.

'Is everyone ready?' I heard Fira shout out.
'Ready?' everyone shouted back.
'I wanted to let everyone know that whatever happens here tonight that I thank each and every one for honoring Master Draven the way you have. He is all so proud of you. Let's fight with everything we have and not give up. It is every man for themselves. Help who you can if you can but abort if you can save your life.' I told everyone.

I turned around and we watched as Marlot and his army arrived. They looked weak and their clothes looked like they had been living on the streets.
Who were the people and why didn't they care to take care of themselves? I wondered. I didn't need to spend any time to wondering about these people. They were the enemy and they were here to kill.

'Queen! It's time to give up your castle!' I heard Marlot yell from across the courtyard.
They kept marching forward until he gave a signal for them to halt.

'If you want this castle you will have to get through all of us to get it!' I yelled back.
'Then so be it but I hate it for you. This castle belongs to me as I am the only one left in line to get it after Dravens death.' he shouted.
'You killed Draven. You get nothing!' I shouted back.

'Men at the ready!' he shouted

The moment Marlot shouted to his men. My army got into battle ready form. It was time, and this was it. We were ready regardless of what was about to happen.

'Charge!' Marlot shouted

And one by one everyone charged into battle. My adrenaline was rushing so hard as I started taking men out one by one. Marlots men were no match for my clan.
