The beginning of a new era was among them and I was to rule but I have no idea if I am going to do anything right. I knew that Draven would be there to guide me if help was needed and I hope I wouldn't let anyone down.

In two weeks I will be named queen and in a week I will be married to Draven. Most people would think this was too fast, but I made my choice the night I became one of them and I knew there was no turning back. What I wanted to know was why a male couldn't be a ruler. I would wait to find that answer.

The day had come, and the castle was bustling with decorating and planning. Today I would become the wife of Draven. I had learned his first name as we had already become one. His name was Cornelius Draven. Took me long enough to learn that mystery. I knew I could back out, but I don't think I would want to. There were simply too many things I must learn about this life and it's just the beginning. So many questions I had asked myself. Why would Charlotte want me to leave? Would she be a threat to the coven? Would he tell me the truth about her now that I've become his wife and one of them and soon to be their queen? I still wasn't sure how I felt about becoming a ruler to the underground world.

The dresses I had picked out for the wedding and the coronation were very elegant and very comfortable. My wedding dress was to be red and white and my coronation was a surprise.
I was more worried that I wouldn't be fit enough to rule over a coven I hardly knew anything about. I let the thoughts push past me as I slid into my wedding gown and waited til it was time to walk. I was called by Maria that it was time and I feel a deep breath and made my way to the chapel side of the castle.

There at the end of the aisle was Draven he looked handsome and dare I say he looked yummy as well. He was wearing an all-black suit that fit well with a white shirt and red suit shirt. I guess I could get used to this since I didn't have a living soul anymore. We wrote letters to my friends and boss back home that I had perished in a car accident and the car caught fire and that there was nothing left so hopefully they couldn't come looking for me.

The ceremony came and went, and the reception was rather relaxing and lovely. There were other covens here as well and not everyone was a vampire. There were people with fairie like wings that had a beautiful glow to them, others dressed in cloaks that appeared to be of some sort of magick which I was intrigued by.

Cornelius introduced me to everyone and I was glad to be a part of this family. The big dance of husband and wife was coming up and we didn't rehearse as we didn't feel the need to. We waltzed throughout the dance floor with such grace and I was enjoying every bit of it.

The wedding and reception was now over, and we were making our way out of the castle. Cornelius didn't exactly tell me where we would spend our honeymoon as we were boarding a private plane of our own.
'Are you ready to spend your honeymoon in a place you've probably never been?' Cornelius asked.
'Sure, where are we going?' I asked.
'Egypt, land of luxury if you know how to find it. Plus, I have to pick something up for you while we're there.' He replied.
'Something for me?' I asked.
'Yeah, your crown.' He replied with a grin.
'You deserve something as rare as you are.' He added and place his hand over mine.
I had never been to Egypt and I hoped it would be as amazing as this night had been. The plane would fly throughout the day and there were special curtains on the plane so that the sun wouldn't shine in.

The trip took quite literally a day. But I wasn't tired because I wasn't exactly made of human life anymore. Our honeymoon would be for a few days because my coronation is in less than a week. We got special permission to go to the pyramid of Giza during the later evening as we explained we had a skin condition where we are allergic to the sun.

We got to the first pyramid, Draven was the one leading the way since his night vision was well beyond mine. He took me to the resting site of an ancient queen. He said he wanted to see where my crown jewels would be coming from. We came upon a little room that was filled with jewels that I could even shake a stick at. There were so many colors. We can upon a crown that had rubies and diamonds in it.

'Shelley, this is for you.' Draven told me as he took it in his hands and placed the crown on my head.
'It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life.' I told him.
It was light weight and perfect. Draven removed the crown from my head and signaled for a gentleman to place it in a briefcase.

I felt like I wasn't worthy of something so rare and beautiful. I felt a bit of guilt that we were taking it from a queen who had died so long ago. I decided if it were going to belong to me that I was going to take good care of it as she would want.
