Flashback
"Rhea. What the fuck is this?" he seethes, before I could reply he pushes me up against the wall and says "Rhea. If you don't fucking answer me in 5 seconds the wall isn't going to be the only thing that's broken."
Tears start streaming down my face at this, he never used to be violent, it didn't start till I started saying no.
"DID YOU FUCK HIM, RHEA? HUH? ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION?"
"No, I promise, I swear I didn't."
"YOU'RE REALLY GOING TO LIE TO MY FACE YOU BITCH! I KNOW YOU DID." He takes this opportunity to pick up the beer bottle he was drinking earlier and smashes it on the wall next to my head. "I'll give you one more opportunity to tell me the truth, or else Rhea."
Either way I knew he was going to hurt me, I decided to lie because maybe then he would leave me alone after he hurt me. If I didn't he would hurt me until I told him I did fuck someone even if I didn't this is how it always is.
"I'm so sorry, I did fuck him, I didn't mean it I swear." I lie, hoping he will be fast, and then be done with me.
"I knew it bitch, and you still had the audacity to lie to me, I knew you were nothing more than a slut that I was just taking pity on." He says as he takes one of the glass shards to my back and slowly, and deeply runs, it up my spine. "This is what you fucking get, whore."
"Please Aiden, please stop." When that bottle broke, so did I, along with everything I've ever wished for.
. . .
I woke up gasping for air, I haven't had one of those dreams in a while, it had to be because of the conversation I had with Aiden last night. I thought I was going to be able to avoid him, then he showed up at the movies. The one time I went out, he was there, what are the odds? I know I can take care of myself now, and I shouldn't be scared of someone like him but I couldn't help it, Aiden was always one to play dirty.
As much as I hate to admit it I was very grateful Asher and the twins were there, except now they may be pushing for a few more questions. I grab my phone and see that it's only 4:30, I have a while before school but I know I won't be able to fall back asleep. My big fight is at the end of this week so I need to train. I put on pants and a hoodie and go for a run in the woods near my place. I'm running for about an hour when I hear footsteps. I grab my knife from my pocket but keep it hidden.
"Fuck training, I cant believe coach is making us do this." I slowly let go of my knife when I recognized Romans voice. How do I always run into these boys? They make it to where I am and they all stop running and stop what they were saying. I'm face to face with the entire basketball team. With Asher at the front. Shirtless. Fuck.
"Yo, you're the new girl." One of the kids in the back says.
"Rhea..." Asher adds awkwardly.
"Rhea! Are you going on a run too? Our coach is making us." Roman says, saving Asher.
"Yeah," I chuckle awkwardly, "I actually have to get going, school starts soon and I still have to run home." I say pushing past the team. Before I can get too far Asher starts running along next to me.
"Rhea, can we talk?"
"What do you want to talk about, Asher?" I stop running and look at him.
"We still need to finish our project, come to my car after school. We don't have practice tonight, because technically this run is our practice." He says more as a demand rather than a suggestion.
