Kenta got up from the table and walked off. The guy patted his back and started talking to him more. I stared at him with disbelief. Before they exited the 7/11, he took one last glance me.

"'Correction, my friends were doing all of those things. Not me.'"? I questioned. He clenched his jaw. Before he could look away from me, I looked away first.

I got to my bike and un-did the lock. I noticed my bag in the basket was significantly bigger. I opened the bag and saw the contents inside. Two loafs of bread and a small bag of sour candy.

Kenta.

I shook my head and once again, set off home. I put all the groceries on the table and checked the to-do list. Before mom goes to work, she always writes me a to-do list and puts it on the fridge; usually just chores. Let's see.

Do laundry
Fold clothes
Cook dinner
Water plants

Well, that's not that bad. I guess I'll do laundry first.

...

A few hours pass and I'm now watering my plants. This was the last plant in the house near my room. It had big leaves and smelled really nice. "DING!" My phone buzzed on the kitchen countertop. I walked over. It was Kenta.

As I was about to put the phone down, he texted me once again.

"Summer, I know you're upset with me but please don't put down your phone. Meet me where we met yesterday, tonight at 19:00. I'll be waiting."

I sighed. This dude isn't even giving me a choice to go or not. I shook my head. I went into my room to take a quick nap.

...

I twisted around and groaned. I wiped the dried drool off the side of my mouth as I checked the time. 19:47. Mom should be home now.

"Hey, sweetie. Care to join me for dinner?" She greeted me over. "I'm alright. I don't really feel like eating tonight." I told her. She gave me a soft smile. "Alright. Also, thank you for buying me groceries this morning. I really appreciate it." She thanked me. "Of course, mom. Y'know the drill." She smiled.

I walked out the door and saw a kitty. The kitty meowed and rubbed up against my hand. Awh, it's so cute. The kitty then turned away and trotted along. I followed behind in curiosity.
