You just got out of the shower when your phone rings, you answer it to be met with the sound of your boyfriend on the other end.

"Hey Y/n can I ask for a favor?"

"Of couse baby what's up?"

"Can you drive over here?"

"Yeah are you okay?"

"Yeah just hurry up please gotta go bye!!"

You quickly get dressed and grab your jacket just in case, then run downstairs and get in your car to drive to Eddie's.

When you get there you see Eddie outside, covered in mud holding a- a dog?!

You get out of your car. When the dog sees you it runs up to you, jumping on you. You not expecting it, you lose your balance and fall down. Laughing you pet the insanely muddy dog while looking over to Eddie who has the biggest smile on his face. You can see the dog is a golden retriever, with very diamond-like blue eyes.

"What is this?"

"A dog!! I found her- Well technically she found me. I want to give her a bath but I need pet friendly products and I need a helper to help me get her into the bathtub and keep her in there so I can clean her and keep her."

"So she just ran up to you?"

"Actually she growled at me because I scared her. She was asleep under the van. She looks really skinny too so I was thinking I could go get her a snack or something from inside, let you feed them to her and hang out with her let her get some more water while I go get the dog soap stuff?"

"Of course Eddie, go get a bowl of water and dogs can't have bread so stear clear of that."

"Right, be right back"

After Eddie leaves, the dog eats a little bit and drinks a little bit. You realize she's having a hard time eating so after she gets a little more comfortable with you, you get a better look at her teeth and see that she's missing a few. Thankfully you have a few rescue dogs yourself so you know a few things to make it easier for her to eat.

Eddie gets back from the store.

"How much did you get?"

"Dog food, soft and hard, chew toys, a dog bed, a collar, the soap and a few other things..."

"Damn Eds." You start lauging. " You ready for a bath beautiful?"

You and Eddie get her into the bathroom but when you try to put her in the bathtub she cowers away. You immediately start talking to her.

"Hey hey pretty girl don't worry, it won't hurt I promise. Look it's fun."

You get inside the bathtub and turn on the water. You don't really care about the clothes you're wearing because you can always steal some of Eddie's clothes after. After a few minutes she starts stepping closer to you. When she looks fully calm Eddie picks her up and puts her in there with you you immediately start petting her a while Eddie gets the soap out. You both start washing her and you start to question Eddie a little bit.

"So does Wayne know about her yet?"

"...I didn't even think about him. Oh well he should be fine as long as she doesn't break any mugs. Heck maybe they'll even become really good friends."

"A dog and her best friend."

"Yeah."

"Have you though about names? Knowing you I have a feeling you got a few."

"I do actually. I was thinking maybe Nova."

"Oooh, do you like the name Nova pretty girl."

She licks your face causing both you and Eddie to laugh."

"Nova for me it is."

"What do you mean for you?"

"Be honest, you'll almost never call her Nova."

"Fair enough."
