Warnings: not like super depressing but warning in case I guess?

----------------------------

Me and Eddie have been dating since the 8th grade. We're seniors in college now.. Well, I'm in college. Eddie stopped after high school. After... Well, after the whole vecna thing and the whole him dying thing he decided that college wasn't worth it and at this point I'm actually staring to agree. Him and I are almost always together but lately? lately I've been so busy studying and taking finals that any few minutes I have to breathe are taken up by sleep. I know I've been worrying everyone. I have barely checked my phone unless it was to look up a word for an essay or for a definition. I hear a knock on my door, I get up slowly.

"Who is it?"

"Your boyfriend, remember you have one?"

I open the door. "Eddie, I'm studying."

"No, you're exhausted and it's killing you babe-" he sighs, " Please can I come in?"

"Oh yeah." I move away from the door. He grabs my hand and starts leading me to the bathroom.

"Hey what are you-"

"Shush." He interrupts me. "Stop worrying so much about classes. It's affecting your physical and mental health, look."

He makes me turn around and look at the mirror, oh wow.

"What do you see?"

"Someone who's exhausted but willing to be because of their future."

"When's the last time you ate darling?"

That's a good question, when was the last time I ate? I think it was yesterday? Maybe a few days actually. Should I tell him that though?

"The silence is enough for me to know that it's been too long. Come on, sit down and let me run you a bath. I'll order food then pop in a movie to keep you occupied while you eat then you can sleep."

"Yeah but I have a test tomorrow Eddie-"

"Yeah and you won't be able to think if your brain is fried! I know you care about your work and I know you care about your grades and being on time but maybe you should just call in sick tomorrow since you already look like you're getting sick."

I don't argue knowing there wouldn't be any reason to right now. When it comes to my health Eddie always wins the arguments.

"A bath does sound nice."

"See. Relax, it'll all be okay."

After the bath I go out into the livingroom to see Eddie has made some sort of fort with the blankets and kitchen chairs, he somehow even Incorporated an umbrella into the structure somehow.

"Come on babe. I got the computer set up and popcorn made."

I smile and get on the ground to crawl into the fort. I sit next to Eddie smiling at him.

"What are we watching?"

"Tangled and after that we're watching Wall-E if you're not asleep already."

I can't hold back the smile on my face. Those are my two favorite Disney movies- well those and Princess and the Frog.

"Come on let's lay down babe."
