Steddie (I am running out of ideas)
-------------------------------------------
Steve grew up both really strict but also free. After the age of 12, his parents were barely there. Leaving for months at a time for his dad's "work" without any warning. As happy as he was to have his dad gone sometimes he actually missed his mom.
Growing up his dad taught him that being gay was a sin. One time Steve accidentally made the mistake of barely checking out a guy when he walked past and before they could even get into the car his dad started hitting him and his dad's words "Teaching him a lesson on how not to be queer."
Over the years when his parents were actually home, he either stayed up in his room or stayed at someone elses house. Mostly Dustin but since he's at camp he can't go there and he doesn't want to tell Robin why his face has cuts and bruises on it as well as the rest of his body.
So like any normal person would do Steve decided to go to the house of a person he hooked up with once. Eddie Munson, the freak of freaks.
They used to be friends. Then one night when they decided to get high together, they hooked up. After they did it Steve realized what he had done and started freaking out. Eddie tried to calm him down not realizing why he was so upset and basically screaming until Steve started rambling about what his dad would think and how he didn't want to get hurt again.
They still talk just not as much and definitely not about that night.
-------------------------------------------
"What did you say to me boy?"
"N-Nothing."
Steve feels a sting as his dad hand comes into contact with his face, leaving a red mark to accompany some of the other bruises and small cuts. So far his mom and dad have been there for a week but he hasn't had a way of getting out of the house unless I was going to work and he always just said that he got into a fight and lost because let's be honest he's only ever won like two or three fights.
As soon as his dad hit him again he ran upstairs grabbing his Bat and his bag that had a few essentials in it before running back downstairs and going out the door not listening to his dad yelling for him to go back inside. He knew it would be worse whenever he got back but at this point he couldn't care.
He starts driving to the only place he can think of.
He walks up to the door and knocks but after a few seconds he realizes what he's doing and turns around, ready to go back home. As soon as he turns he hears a click and the door opens.
"Steve?"
He slowly turns around. The second Eddie sees his face many different emotions run through him.
"Shit Steve what happened?"
"Can I just come in?"
"Of course."
Eddie lets Steve in then locks the door. He notices Steve looking around slightly.
"My uncle's not here but we can go to my room if you'd like to be more comfortable."
Steve nods then heads to Eddie's room with him. As soon as he sits on Eddie's bed he can't help the string of tears that leaves his eyes.
He hates crying. He's always been told crying is for the weak.
Eddie quickly embraces him.
-------------------------------------------
After a few minutes he starts to calm down.
"I shouldn't be here what if he finds us."
"Who?"
"My dad."
"He's back?"
"Mhm."
"Did he give you those bruises?"
"....Yeah but there's more... Underneath my clothes."
"I am so sorry Steve."
"Can I stay here tonight?"
"Of course. Here just chill out and I'll be back with a glass of water, does that sound good?"
"Yes, thank you Eddie."
Eddie walks out, not being gone for more than 3 minutes. When he returns back he notices that Steve has laid back onto his bed fully and passed out clutching his pillow. The smile that grows on his face is impossible to even try to hide.
Eddie sets the water down then lays besides Steve. He can't help but notuce how many bruises are actually on his face.
There's no way he's left the house with these. No, the cops would get called right? How many are on him all together? How could this happen.
Eddie pulls Steve closer to him.
Eddie has missed Steve and Steve has missed Eddie. After today, they'll definitely be seeing more of each other. If only they would step up and talk about that night.
