Chapter 3 - Socializing

You trekked further into the forest as the trees above you spread out their branches far and blocked the moonlight from coming in, making a really spoopy atmosphere. The very light sound and feeling of something following you and lurking around in the shadows was present, it silently stalked you as you continued further. There was a small part of the forest ypu found that let a little bit of moonlight slip past the leaves of tje large trees overhead, causing a small mini spotlight.

Bushes, ferns, mints, lamp grass, and other plants you didn't recognise were scattered across the forest floor. A fern that was lit up by the small amount of moonlight that was present in the forest began to rustle and move. It's leaves shook around as you felt the presence stalking you tense up. A small furry silhouette slowly emerged from under the fern leaf. It stepped out into the open and the moonlight shone on it's fur. A light grey spread out around it's torso, shoulders, and thighs. It's legs were a light brown mixed with off white along with light brown ears and a white face. It's tail was off white and quickly faded into a deep black at the tip of the tail.

It's yellow eyes looked up at your figure that easily blended into the dark despite your size. Your e/c eyes stood out from your pure black body and stared down at the puppy. The small wolf pup began to move under a the foliage, and you lifted the leaf that it went under, but it was nowhere it be found. "Eh?" You turned around when you felt something on your tail. Your tail lifted up and you saw the wolf pup holding onto your tail fins. You lay your tail on the ground and tried to push the wolf off of you. It did for a small second, but instantly went back to pounce on your tail. You swerved around as the wolf began to chase your tail, turning around in circles until you got dizzy.

You gently smacked them in the face with your tail fins and they were pushed back. They instantly jumped around and went into a play bow as you tilted your head at it. "That means they wanna play right? I don't speak dog..." The wolf instantly rushed away all of the sudden while making small barking noises every now and then. When it was a good one meter away from you, it play bowed at you again. "Oh I see, you want me to chase you, huh? I'm a fast runner, so be warned!" The wolf rushed off as you chased after them. You were equally as fast as each other on land, so it was somewhat fair.

Fallen leaves scattered around and bushes slightly rustled around as you both zoomed by. You continued to chase the wolf pup as the forest got thicker and wolfhook berries became more and more prominent as you went deeper. You both ran across a fallen log over a shallow river filled with pebbles, the wolf ran through it while you ran on top of it. The wolf pup stopped when they saw your face peeking through the other end of the log, and they instantly turned around, only to be met with your face again. This happened again, and again, and again, until it pounced on your face. You pulled back and the wolf came out as it jumped onto the log with you. It yawned as it lay down and slept beside you. "Uh... the fuck am I supposed to do with this, bring it to Andrius?" You said while looking at the sleeping wolf pup curled up beside your leg.

You looked up at the trees when you heard the wound of wingbeats. The trees were pushed back by the force if the wind as Dvalin landed in front if you. He instantly put his face under you to pick you up, and flew away with you sitting there on his nose. "As happy as I am that you got better at flight, do not rush off so far away without telling me. Barbatos has entrusted me with you, and I do not plan on letting you run off and get in trouble so easily." He said as he continued to fly back to old mondstadt. You looked up at the sky as the ruins got closer.

"You think that the peeps in mond city wouldn't mind me barging in, would they?" He scoffed at your question. "It is best to slowly socialize them to you before barging into their city. They would think that you are threat knowing that they have never seen you before. It would be best to stay away for now, and limit yourself to small human meetings." He explained as you nodded.

The next day, you asked Dvalin if you could go out this time, so he doesn't go all dramatic like he did before. Thankfully, he let you, and now you were exploring around brightcrown canyon. You noticed the sight of a blonde woman who wore a white and crimson red dress from a rocky ledge. The corset she wore was white, while the back of the dress and her skirt part of the dress was a muted crimson red. The dress was adorned with small copper accents and she wore black heels. Her hair was half tied into a bun behind her head, her blonde hair drooped behind her back and over one side of her face. A small flower with bright red petals and a bright yellow that almost looked like white spread out from the middle was placed on the side of her hair. It was planted into a spiralling piece of copper that mimicked leaves. Two small red jewels were planted on the ends of the copper.

She was sitting down on a rock and reading a book. You squinted to read the title of the book, but quickly realised you can't read teyvat's language. She flipped to another page of the book and her icy blue eyes scanned the words on the page. She instantly looked up at you alarmed when you flew onto a branch on the tree in front of her. She began to back away when you crawled down from the branch towards her. You sat down and looked up at her, your height didn't even reach her knees. She took small steps away from you and looked like she was about to run away.

Instead, she slowly stepped forward looking at you with a scrutinizing gaze. "What... are you?" She asked as she slowly bent down to look at you. 'Hey, she's not gonna call the cops on me!' She gently reached out her hand to your face, no not the way Hicup did. Sadly. Her fingers were slightly curled in, but not fully. You noticed a golden ring on her ring finger. You looked back up at her and squinted at the flower on her head. 'That flower looks like the crimson witch flower.... SIGNORA?!'

You looked at her face and saw that she looked like a younger version of Signora. 'Dayum she is pretty.' You looked up at the setting sun and heard Dvalin's faint roar in the distance. 'I have curfew now! Greaaat...' You stood up which made Signora- Rosalyne flinch back, but you ignored her and walked away. You looked back one more time before taking to the skies and flying away.
