The next morning I woke up quite early, and felt wide awake. I rolled onto my back and stared at the top of my four-poster bed. "Ugh," I groaned, recalling last night's events.

I then sighed and dragged myself out of the covers. My feet touched the cold hardwood floor and they moved me over to the window where a chill breeze blew in. I shivered slightly and stared outside. No animal seemed to stir, as the only sound was my own heartbeat and breathing, and everything was covered in dew. If Pippin and I were together, and I woke up early like this, he'd hold me in his arms and keep me warm till I fell asleep beside him.

I signed once again. Why did he run off? Especially when he was about to kiss me, I was sure he was going to. Perhaps he was just scared, I thought, then shrugged it all off and went to my dresser, and pulled out a moss green dress which had some white flowers near the bottom. The dress came a bit further than my knees.

Why am I making such a big deal over this?

I shook my head and quietly got changed, listening to the quietness. Once I was changed I brushed out my hair and further got ready for the day, having scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.

After I finished my food my mind cleared up a bit and I settled down in the living room with a book in hand and a warm mug of tea sitting on the table. Soon I found myself invested in my book and Pippin at the back of my mind.

Birds began chirping and sunlight slowly started coming inside when I finally closed my book.

I stood up and stretched before making my way towards one of the pantries again and grabbing an apple. I bit into it and, passing by a window, decided to go for a walk.

When I stepped outside I smiled at the beautiful landscape. The dew sparkled gently from the rising sun, and birds sang wonderful love songs to one another. A biscuit-colored bunny moved peacefully along my yard, nibbling at the sweet grass. He looked up at me and twitched it's little nose before hopping on a little further.

Taking a deep breath of the fresh air, I swung open the gate and chose a random way to go. I walked for quite a while until I found myself coming upon some woods.

Soon the oaks and birches and all other types of trees towered above me while, through my boots, I could feel the ground was soft and a bit springy with wildflowers sprinkled all across the area. I smiled contently at this beautiful little forest, as I've always adored nature.

In a couple of moments I found a willow tree which dipped its branches into a clear brook. I need to come back and have a picnic under that tree's boughs.

Close by that tree, but not too close as there was a bit of a clearing by it, there stood an oak that looked perfect for sitting in and reading or daydreaming, so I did just about that. Skillfully climbing it, I sat on a branch somewhat near the bottom and pulled out my sketchbook. I looked around for something to draw, when a robin perched on a branch near me.

"Mana nácca esse?" I asked, wondering what his name was.

It tweeted, "Thornberry."

Still in Elvish I said, "Sweet Thornberry, may you please stay there while I sketch you?"

It hopped to the left, closer to me. "I'd be more than happy to do so, but what, might I ask, is your name kind Elf-Hobbit?"

"I am Emra Mosswood," I replied with a smile, "And thank you, I'll try to be quick."

"Ah, no need to rush, Emra, I had quite a fitting breakfast this morning." He stated, getting comfortable while still looking elegant on the branch.
