It had been several months since my first day working at the Green Dragon. That night went well, though Pippin got drunk and sang with Merry at the top of his lungs. For my whole time with living in the Shire so far, my life was quite pleasant and joyful, and I seemed to fall for Pippin just a tiny bit more every time I laid my eyes on him. Of course, Pervinca and the others continued to tease me about it, but at this point I was more or less used to it.

Now it really felt like Hobbiton was my home. I had a good enclosure of friends, Pervinca, Rosie, and Marigold, who was Sam's younger sister, and my job was going very well. In my down time I was either hanging out with my friends, daydreaming about my crush, reading and drinking tea in my cozy home, or talking with Thornberry.

But now, a new event had come to the Shire. It was going to be Bilbo Baggins's 111th birthday party in just a few hours, and practically all of the Shire was going crazy. The preparations had already begun long ago, but now the tents were being set up, and Gandalf the Grey, a famous wizard, was here.

I was in my home with the windows open, baking desserts for the party, which was going to be that night, when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was two hands about to grab the apple pie I'd set by the window to cool off, and I could hear two voices whispering. "Take it, Pip." "I am, hold on."

I walked up to the window and took the pie with a smile, and said, not unkindly, "Peregrin Took, if you touch my desserts you'll be very sorry."

"Ugh," Pippin stood up, as did Merry.

My crush's cousin said sarcastically, "Great work, Pip."

"You two can have them like civilized Hobbits when the party is taking place, but in the meantime please come inside." I stated.

Pippin looked about to go in through the window but I said, "Pippin! The door!"

He looked at me then the two of them went around and I opened the door for them. They followed me into the kitchen and I said, "Can you two please watch everything and make sure no fools try and steal them while I get ready?"

Merry smiled while Pippin slightly blushed. They agreed.

"Thank you," I said with a smile before I turned and went into my bedroom.

I took a warm bath, a sweet pea scent drifting through the air, and afterwards dried my hair with a towel. Then I slipped into my light green dress, which had puffy sleeves, a white skirt underneath and a white trim at the bottom. Around my waist it had a bit of tightness with an emerald green ribbon which reminded me of Peregrin's eyes. I also put a short pearl necklace on and applied a bit of makeup.

Once I had finished I walked back out into the kitchen with a smile, wondering if they, more specifically Pippin, would like my outfit.

I saw their jaws drop and immediately a blush came to my face.

"Y- you look breathtaking, or I-," Peregrin nervously laughed.

Merry gave his friend an odd glance then nodded, "You really do look nice, Emra."

"Hantaldë," I said, thanking them, adjusting my skirts a little.

I looked at all the cakes, pies and so forth, "Good job on not eating any."

"Pippin did have one of the chocolate cookies," Merry ratted out.

"Hey!" My crush said, looking over at his cousin.

I giggled.

"Can you two help me with bringing these things over to the event?" I asked politely.
