The next day, Max hung out with lucas all day. He showed her photos and videos of what they've done over the years, just to try and refresh her memory a bit.

"Hey who's that?" She asked pointing at Will, she still hadn't been reminded of Will. Last time she saw him was at the hospital and then again at the hotel but those memories were still hazy.

"Oh right, you haven't been reminded of everybody yet." Lucas said awkwardly.

She just gave him a consistent look, trying to get an answer out of him.

"He's called Will, aka the biggest nerd on the planet." Lucas laughed.

"Leave him alone! He seems sweet!" Max said playfully slapping his arm.

"I'm being serious! He's sweet and all but when it comes to D&D, he full on nerds out. He's named 'Will the wise'. Oh and he has the highest level and hit points then all of us." Lucas started going on about Wills class and past campaigns.

"You can't really call him a nerd after all you just said about this D&D shit." Max laughed.

"Awh dammit! You still hate D&D?" Lucas complained.

"Yes, it sounds like a sorry excuse for sci-fi nerds to actually leave their house." Max was still laughing.

"It kinda is. But I'm not a nerd!! I'm on the basketball team." Lucas sulked.

"Okay Romeo, whatever you say." Max kissed his cheek.

El heard a knock on the door, it was Susan.

"Oh hello Mrs Mayfield!" El smiled.

"Hello dear, I haven't seen my daughter in a few days do you have any idea where she is?" Susan asked she sounded quite worried.

"Oh don't worry! She's a couple floors above. She's with Lucas, she just remembered him and they've been hanging out a lot lately." El smiled proud of herself, that pride quickly vanished when she saw the look on Susan's face.

"Lucas? Great. I don't want her dating." Susan sighed.

"Why not? They are happy together! You should see them, it makes me sick actually." El was desperate to change Susan's opinion on a Lucas and Max together, I mean all that to get them back. El was not risking losing all that.

"Max, she just- well. She gets heartbroken really easily!" Susan said. El nodded as it was true.

"She gets so upset if one little thing goes wrong, the amount of times she has broken up with Lucas, I just- I don't think it's right for her. Plus she should be focusing on getting into college. Not boys!" Susan sighed.

"She might be different now!" El felt no hope, Susan looked pretty certain with her opinions.

"Dear, do you have a boyfriend?" Susan asked El. She got flashbacks to Mike and their fight. She opened her mouth but stopped herself from talking, she just frowned and shook her head slowly in the end.

"See look how sad you look from a past boyfriend I presume, I don't want Max to be slowed down by a silly boy when she could be focusing on more important things. Like her education!" Susan was sure, she did not support Lucas and Max's relationship.

El gave up, Susan bringing up Mike brought her down. El felt guilty, their break up was pretty much her fault. Well that's what she thought anyway.

Mike knocked on Lucas' hotel room door.

"Oh hey Mike." Lucas let him in.

"Oh dude Max is here? I need to talk to you privately." Mike sulked.
