So like I said before, plans don't usually go as planned.

The limo driver must have hit the curb of the street at least three times. And he was awfully rude to me. Which was really uncalled for, and made me regret the generous tip I had given him before the ride from hell began.

There was so much traffic on the streets of the city. So what was supposed to be twenty minutes, became an hour. I kept on smiling at Lilly, assuring her that it was still going to be a great weekend. Even though in my mind, I was mentally tearing my hair out and punching the limo driver in the face over and over. Quite frankly, Lilly was the only reason I wasn't actually doing those things.

We finally got to the hotel, and pulled our luggage out of the truck ourselves while Mr. Limo driver watched. Damn I wish I never gave him that tip.

On top of the limo ride drama, our suite was not ready. It was supposed to be done an hour ago. But apparently one of the maids just left without finishing our room. So they still had to clean it. That took another hour out of our time. They said they would reimburse us with a complimentary in-room breakfast. And at that point, I was so angry that I was about to tell them to stick their breakfast up their... you know.

But I bit my tongue, took a deep breath, and remembered that this was mine and Lilly's time. No one would ruin it. I accepted the breakfast and eventually we got our room.

I had stayed at this hotel before. But I had never booked a suite. I figured this would be a good time to try it. The room was amazing. King size bed, plasma TV, with almost all white everything. The fixtures looked so modern and sleek. With silver accents here and there. There was one side of the wall, where the bed was, that was this beautiful maroon color. It reminded me of the color of a rose. And Lilly. The only color that actually popped.

Lilly navigated her way through the place and I followed, just as astonished as she was. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. Which I knew we would take full advantage of. There was even a mini bar. And atop of the counter was a bottle of wine on ice.

For all of the plans that didn't go as planned, the suite made up for it.

The best part of the suite, was the balcony outlooking the city. Just outside of our bedroom. I could already see Lilly and I watching the sun rise and set together. But even right then, was a gorgeous sight. With the city lights above us, engulfing us all around. Substituting the absent stars from the cloudy night.

With all of our excitement, it was still so late. And after what seemed like the longest day ever, we both decided to save the wine for the rest of the weekend, and get some sleep.

The time depressed me a bit. Knowing that if the limo driver didn't take so long. If the traffic didn't exist. If the dumb maid actually did her job, then I would have a couple of hours to spend in paradise with Lilly. And a part of me knew I was being childish. Stuff happens. I should have known that.

I think I just felt like, my time to make memories with Lilly was already severed with her timestamp, so I hated the fact that it had been severed even more. I didn't want time to be cut any more than it had to be. I needed every minute. And losing those two hours, in a way, scared me.

I watched her as she got into the bed next to me. And I sighed. "I'm sorry we got here so late, Lil. We were supposed to have tonight, to celebrate. And instead, we spent it in a limo and a hotel lobby."

Lilly laughed. "It could have been much worse. Tom don't apologize. Tonight was magical. And this weekend is going to be just as magical. And the limo and the lobby wasn't so bad. We had each other."

Lilly didn't seem to care if we lost time or not. It didn't change her mood. She was still as happy as ever. Seeing her smile and hearing her soothing voice calmed me down a bit. And I decided to forget about the lost time. She was right, It could have been worse. At least, I was with her all night. In the limo, she was there, she was there while we waited for the room. She was always there. Thank god.
