Ava

"First Fight!" I hear Eric call out and pause my sparring.

"Ava vs. Takon"

I start to walk up to the ring but eric grabs my arm, "Remember your strategy. And watch his feet, he steps before he punches. "

I nod and start to walk off before Eric grabs me, twirling me into him and kissing me. I wrap my arms around his neck before slowly pulling away. "What was that for?" I whisper.

"Good luck"

I turn back to the fight and everyone is now staring at me and Eric. I give him one last peck before walking up to a stunned Takon.

"Ready...and fight!"

Takon ran at me straight away, going for the gut but I was able to quickly spin out of the way. I came back to land a sharp elbow on his spine causing him to scream in pain. He shuffled his feet back and I realized he was moving, I went to get out of the way but he did a very unpredictable back flop onto me.

I gave him a quick knee to the groin and shoved him off before throwing a side punch to his cheekbone. It didn't stop him and he crawled towards me again, I kicked him in the face crawling back on my elbows.

His head fell down and his chin made a sickening crack sound when it hit the mat. This gave me enough time to get up but unfortunately, it also did so for him.

We both stood a good distance away from each other fists up and ready.

His jaw was bruised and swollen, cheekbone cut, nose broken, and bleeding. All he'd managed to get on me was a possible broken rib from the fall and the wind knocked from me.

I watched his feet and saw the slight shift in his left foot. I quickly ducked, barely missing the punch he threw before tackling his stomach. The bad news for me was that he started throwing his elbow down on my back causing immense pain.

I tackled him, throwing punch after punch as I did with Darion but he tossed me off, bringing his knees into my stomach. I scrambled away, looking at Eric for a brief moment.

He just nodded, as if to say I'm doing well. This spurred me on and I went in for the last punch. While Takon was preoccupied with standing up, as soon as he was straightened back up I threw the best and most painful right hook I've ever launched in my life. It hurt me enough to cause me to keel over in pain, clutching my hand.

Takon staggered away, fighting to get his air back. For a moment, he looked like he would puke, but he managed to straighten up. Pure rage crossed his face. I heard Eric's voice in my ear, an echo of yesterday's training: "Don't ever fight angry. That's not what the fight's about."

No one had told Takon this.

He charged me, fists flailing. But I was ready. One fast straight punch to Takon's unprotected jaw and his head whipped back, his body arched backward, all of his momentum snapping back on him like a broken rubber band. He lifted right up off his toes, clearing the ground. For one long moment, his body hung in the air. Then he landed with a thud that shook the punching bags that hung rows over.

I watched him, not really expecting him to get up but being prepared for anything. I raised my fists even though my right hand felt broken- at the least. Then Eric started laughing and I looked over. "That. Was. The best fight I've ever seen." I smiled at him.

I hopped off of the square and Eric threw his arm around my shoulders. We stood and watched the rest of the fights, Peter beating Tris into the dirt, Christina boss bitching that Lucy girl, Edward making Darion fall off the mat, and Eric putting Al and Will against each other. (Al and Tris were both sent to the hospital wing along with a few others)

After everyone was done fighting they left to go get dinner and I collapsed against Eric. "God my hand hurts..." I groan.

He quickly lifts me into his arms bridal style and I squeal. "ERIC! I said my hand not my legs." He just shrugs.

"You beat Takon so you get a reward." He looks at me suggestively. "This is just the ride to the location where you get your reward."

He then starts walking off in the direction of his room, a place I had been to many times but we had never done anything. He always took me there to lecture me or bandage me up after practice.

*****

"You don't have to do this Eric."

I say as he wraps a clean bandage around my wrist, crisscrossing it this way and that way. He just shakes his head. "You just got beat up, let me take care of you."

"Hey I knocked him in the dirt, if anyone got beat up it was Takon."

He just smiles at me. "Yeah, you really did a number on him."

"Guess your good luck is really lucky."

"Guess so."

"I think you should give some more good luck, you know for my cuts and stuff. Don't want them to get infected."

He leans up and kisses me softly before tying the bandage on my wrist. He moves to get up but I grab his collar and throw him into the seat beside me. I quickly climb on top of him, kissing him more.  I deepen the kiss by grinding softly against him.

When we finally pull away I look into his eyes which are blazing with lust. "Did you just shove me on the couch?"

I slide off him slightly, standing up slowly. "Correction: I threw you on the couch."

"Babygirl you don't understand that you don't do anything. I'm the Dom here."

"Says who?" I taunt him.

He smirks evilly.  "Oh, you are so dead."
