Not good, because soon the train would reach Ueno. The first stopover. A stop of one minute, during which some guests could get off and new ones could get on. Which could include the person who owned the suitcase, or the wasp or wasps, plural. The perfect opportunity.
Briskly, Tangerine and Alex walked through the rows, glancing over the partially empty seats, the passengers as well as their luggage, above their heads in the tray. There were silver suitcases, travel trunks, but no briefcases, and certainly none that had a sticker in the shape of a lemon.
"If the train is about to stop, I'll get off and continue on the track, to the next car or over next," Alex paused at the door as Ueno station came into view, "Maybe the ones we're looking for will get off."
"Are you getting back on too?", Tangerine mockingly echoed, "Or...."
"Come on," Alex returned in a played, offended tone, pulling the suit smiling at him and kissing him hastily, "Why always so suspicious?"
"Might be the job," Tangerine replied, stroking Alex's cheek with the backs of his bejeweled fingers, "See you in Rio."
"In a few minutes, more likely," Tangerine was corrected by Alex, "And as soon as everything is done here, we'll see Rio. How does that sound to you?"
"Definitely better," Tangerine confirmed, "A lot better."

One minute. Exactly sixty seconds. No more, no less. Each stop would take the same amount of time. Their time was running from now on.
No sooner had Alex set foot on the platform than she stirred her head, hurrying past people and down the train as her gaze wandered from door to door.
Suitcases were in abundance, but again, not a silver briefcase. At most in black, but just as little, a person seemed suspicious, where Alex would think that he would want to leave the Shinkansen as soon as possible and was now in a hurry to disappear.
One last look around, but nothing, and as soon as Alex got on, doors closed behind her.
It was only to be hoped that the wanted persons were still on the train.
