ᵉⁿᵍˡⁱˢʰ Pour Some Sugar on Me [Bullet Train]

No sooner were the doors of the Bullets Train closed than the wheels began to roll and the train began to pick up speed. The next stop came soon. Omiya. Which should be in just under twenty minutes. And one thing was for sure. Any trains in the Japanese area were on time to the second.

The chances were fifty-fifty that the suitcase was still on the Shinkansen, and with each additional stop, the chances of finding it dropped a bit further.

All on red.... or black instead?

"Well?", Alex was greeted by Tangerine, who then drew her eyebrows together and gave him a look to see if this one was indeed fully mentally present and possessed eyes, "You got anything?"

"All good," Alex said as if nothing was wrong, "As you can see, the case is now in good hands."

"Extremely funny darling," replied Tangerine, who obviously couldn't laugh at Alex's joke and looked away from her, puffing, to the next compartment, "So on..... A very simple job.

That's the way it's always been. Simple. If it wasn't said up front that it was a simple job, no one would want it. Or, the fee would have to be correspondingly higher for interest to arise, despite because of the associated risks of having more (possible) problems of something going wrong or dying. However, it was not like that. It remained gladly with simple, child's play or pure routine work.

The remaining carriages up to first class were searched quite quickly; the next station was reached on time according to the timetable and after exactly one minute, the train moved on. By another, the chance of finding the suitcase decreased. The phone call that Tangerine received from an employee of the White Death was just in time. This phone call, however, lasted less than two minutes, because the dark-haired man was more than annoyed by this constant check of his client and hung up in the middle of the conversation.

If that wouldn't cause trouble, Alex's little voice announced.
