The Biggest Pain

"Oh no not again..." Mason sighed as he walked in your shared bedroom, finding you hutched upon your bed hand holding onto your stomach "You only had this last month!" Giving him a glare, you used your free hand to flip him off "That's the thing with periods babe... there sort of a monthly thing..." You sarcastically replied, flitching as once again it felt like a hot pole was stabbing you in your uterus.

Seeing how much pain you were in, Mason let your comment go. Instead, he joined you in bed, immediately wrapping his arms around you as you rest your head on his chest "I'm sorry darling, I didn't mean it like that... I just hate seeing you in so much pain!" You knew Mason hated it when it was your time of the month, not only because of your constant mood changes but also because of how useless he felt when you'd wince in pain, knowing that all the pain you go through is partially for him!

"I'm sorry..." You whispered, voice quivering as you once again flinched against his chest. Your words caused him to look at you with a confused look "Sorry?.. baby why are you sorry?" Not really knowing why, tears escaped your eyes causing him to pull you closer in his arms "For putting you through this... it's not fair!"

"Oh don't be silly you softie!" Mason chuckled, wiping the tears away from you "It's nature darling, you can't help it! and anyway there are some positives to this situation.."

"What..?" You whispered, looking up at him with teary eyes. Giving you a little smirk he wrapped his arms even tighter around you giving you the tightest squeeze, letting you rest your head back on his chest "That I get to give you as many cuddles as you desire until the dreaded cramps are gone..."

Breathing in his scent, you sighed into his chest forgetting about the pain that was stabbing your lower abs as you focused on the boy next to you "That sound's nice.." Already seeing you nodding off, Mason let out a sigh of relief. And although sleep threatened his own eyes he didn't want to miss anything... if it was anything he had learnt after 2 years of dating it was that your pains were very unexpected! That means doctor Mase always had to be prepared to make you feel better.

Mase stayed by your side for most of your nap, only moving to get you a bottle of water and some pain meds for when you woke up. He had your period routine locked down, always remembering the embarrassing moment he had to ask his mum and sister for help on the sizes of sanitary towels and tampons you may need stocking at his house. Since then he vowed to always know what to do, but that didn't stop him from panicking every time you winced in your sleep.

He almost nodded off himself until your small whimper stopped him "Fuck.." You moaned, holding your stomach as Mason shot up, instantly inspecting you "What... what's up? Is it bad... do we need to go to A&E?"

Rolling your eyes, you ran your fingers through his hair, sitting up next to him to drop your head on his shoulder "No Mase, we don't need to go hospital... it's just another cramp nothing to worry about! You giggled, causing Mason to sigh in relief but although your words brought him comfort he still couldn't help but worry in case something else happened.

"Are you sure you don't need to get checked out?" Mason questioned as he felt you squeeze his hand tighter. "I'm sure mase..." You groaned. Although you found his concern sweet, all you wanted to do was fall asleep and let the pain pass naturally... but with the big softie next to you it was easier said than done "Now please can we go to sleep..." Feeling him nod, you sighed hoping that his worrying was finally over... but nope, of course not!

"I think we should just take you.. just in case...!"

"Urgh!" You groaned, sitting up as you chucked a pillow at him. "Omg, I knew it the pains getting worst isn't it!"

"No Mase please!" You laugh, pushing him back down on the bed as you pinned him down "Listen to me... I am okay! I am not going to die, the pains not going to get worst & if by any chance it does I will let you know! But for now please let me sleep on your chest and shut up!"

Mason was speechless at your sudden outburst, only letting out a little hum and nod to indicate he understood. "You know what's funny Mase..." You giggle, pecking his lips before you snuggled back into his chest. "What baby?"

"Somehow, even tho I have shooting pains in my uterus... your still the biggest pain I have!"

"I'm the best tho right..." Mason chuckled, kissing your hair.

"Your the best pains can be Mase..."
