Chapter 10

~* That evening*~

Outfit:

     As Alice was getting everything ready for Bella's birthday. I just stood in the corner looking at my nails and picking at them. I rather stand here than pretend to actually care for someone who is just ruining my life. Shoot even Rosalie isn't even excited about this.

    Alice handed Rosalie a gift to give to Bella, saying it was from me, her and Rosalie. "Um I didn't get her anything, so that's just from you and Rosalie."

"Oh come on Serena, just for tonight?" She asked me.

    I chuckled and shook my head, "No absolutely not, be happy I'm here celebrating. That's the most I'll do but I refuse to put my name on a gift for a person I don't care about." I snapped a bit at her as she gave me a nod and took my answer.

    She retreated up stairs to get Bella and Edward, I know Alice means well and she's trying to make the best of of our current situation but I won't be fake that's not me. I walked back to my previous spot and resumed my spot leaning up against the wall. Someone gotta keep it up, might as well be me. Alice appeared with Bella, dragging her down the stairs with Edward behind them. My eyes gravitated towards him, seeing him dressed in just a dark button up looking all dapper sent tingles up my spine. 

  My father and Esme meet her by the stairs, " We're sorry about all of this we tried to rein Alice in."

"If that were even possible." Esme commented as she gave Bella a hug. "Happy birthday Bella." She said

   Bella replied, "Thanks" No second later you hear a click of a photo being taken and you see Alice behind the new camera Bella got.

"I found it in your bag. Do you mind?" She asked her

   I tuned out Emmett's funny but stupid joke, but seeing the look on Edward's face was priceless. Alice tapped Rosalie's arm, she handed the gift to Bella, "It's a necklace, Alice picked it out."

"Thanks." She responded but was immediately pulled next to Edward as Alice wanted to get a picture with the both of them.

"Show me the love." She expressed to them as she snapped a photo of them.

    I zoned out, not bothering to pay attention until I heard Alice, " Open up Carlisle and Esme's" She said to her as she handed her an envelope.

"We've noticed you've been looking a little pale lately." They joked with her as she smiled and got ready to open it.

"Ouch, paper cut." Bella pulls her finger away from her present and looks at her finger as a single drop of deep red blood appears from her index finger. 'Oh no..it's happening' I thought to myself.

    I turn my head to the left and see Jasper lunge towards Bella, his teeth bared, eyes beyond wide. Edward flings Bella backwards as I run in front of Jasper pushing him away from the exposed blood. We all smelt more blood, I look behind me to see Bella bleeding more than before.
