A Thousand Years [ Edward Cullen Story]

Chapter 9

     After the whole James incident, you would think she'd be scared, run off and forget this whole other life ever existed. But she has this idea in her head that she wants to be turned into a vampire. To spend the rest of her 'immortal' days with Edward, but what she doesn't know is that's only the fantasy that she craves, this immortal life isn't for the faint of heart. The people you once knew, friends, family, close loved ones. They all disappear, while you're just a shadow in the dark never aging, never experiencing life how one should. I'm patiently waiting for my day of reckoning to come, but all good things come to those who wait.

     Dragging myself into my closet to get dressed for yet another year of high school. This year is most certainly different from another year of high school that I've been through, just add a human to the mix and everything turns upside down. Rose and Emmett aren't with us this year since they 'graduated' last year. I really don't want to face Forks high school today or ever, but gotta keep up with appearances I guess.

   Serena's Outfit

     Alice had this brilliant idea to throw a birthday party for the little blood singer, I honestly don't think this is a good idea really. I just had this gut feeling that today was gonna change me and my family. I don't know if it's for the better or for the worse. Guess I'm just gonna have to wait and find out. Heading down stairs and seeing everyone but Edward in the kitchen area, makes the emptiness hurt even more.

     Rosalie looks at me and sees the look on my face, " I know Serena" She gives me a half smile, showing her sympathy, "Try to cheer up, today will be over and done with before you know it."

"I sure hope so, Rose." I turned away from my family and headed into the garage and walked to my truck.  Putting the key in the ignition, I listened to the engine of my truck and smiled. After 5 minutes I  started driving out of the garage and heading to Forks high school. Before I get to the main road coming that leads into town, I get hit with a vision......

Alice hands Bella an envelope, she starts to open it until I hear...

"Ouch, paper cut." Bella pulls her finger away from her present and looks at her finger as a single drop of deep red blood appears from her index finger.
