Chapter 24

A few days later

   Me and Edward were at the main house getting geared up and ready for the battle. I was with my father in his home office discussing the Volturi.  Dad, I understand you know how they operate. But this isn't the kings in our area. It's their guards, they won't be so forgiving." I expressed my fear and concern to him. 

   " Serena, I understand. I have that fear too, but trust me and your mom to handle everything." He tried to reassure me. 

  My intuition was screaming at me, "Dad, no disrespect but we need to figure out what to do about Bella and the Volturi like NOW." I demanded, " If not it could be very bad for us. This is Jane, Demetri, Felix and Alec we are talking about. Not Aro, we need to have a game plan. It's bad enough me and Edward are going to away from the action. " 

   It was silent between us, our eyes not losing contact. I love my dad and I love that he always tries to be the peace maker. But right now we didn't need a peace maker, we needed our coven leader to have a plan A and further back up plans. 

   "Serena, you're right. I'm sorry for not listening to you at first." I gave my dad a little cheeky smile. 

  I walked over to him and gave him a side hug, " It's okay dad, I still and always love you. I just want to make sure everything for us will be okay."  

   I left him alone as I went back downstairs with the rest of my family. The sounds of my heels got everyones attention. "When dad comes down we all need to have a game plan for the morning."  I plopped down onto Edward's lap. 

    "The big main question is what are we gonna do about Bella. Because she's our second main problem other than the Volturi and the army." Rosalie brought up. 

   Mom looked between everyone, "What if we create a fake scenario. Once the army and the Volturi are taken care of.  Me and Carlisle could go to Charlie and tell him that we believe it'll be best if he sent Bella to Jacksonville to stay with her mother." 

   Edward nodded liking where this was going, " Knowing Charlie he is going to ask why." 

  "Simple, she's becoming obsessed with you." I pointed out " Since the break up between you guys. She's been trespassing on the property and it's getting to the point she's making all of us feel unsafe in our own home."  

   "As a father I could tell him that it's becoming an unhealthy obsession and it might be best for her to be back with her mother." Dad added as he went to stand by mom's side. 

   Emmett nodded, " Okay that plan sounds all well and good. But what excuse are we going to tell the Volturi."  Jasper nodded as he crossed his arms in front of his chest as Alice was by his side. 

      "The newborn army was started because of a nomad vampire that we had a problem with 2 years ago regarding her mate that we killed. This was simply retaliation that escalated to the news. But we took care of it." It rolled out of my mouth like I already had this planned out.
