Now for another anime. A relaxing Idol Slice of Life, with a ton of animal girls. Idols of the Wild. This Anime revolves around Shiro, a zookeeper who earns a job at a zoo called Safaridol Zoo where girls dressed up wild animal themed preform. But what's bizarre is the performing idol groups ARE the animals the animals at the zoo. Imagine that. The zoo isn't exactly like your typical zoo. It's just without the cages, like a nature reserve, and most of the staff consists of the animal girls themselves. It's almost like Kemono Friends or Seton Academy, but a little different. What makes my animal girls different from them is they, in fact, behave like animals they are, but smart enough to act like humans. There are lots of animals to be found here. Mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish and insects. Herbivores and carnivores. Herds, flocks and schools alike. The animal girls interact with people, sing their songs coming in groups, solo or duos and have their private dens and territories where they like to show off their skills. The dens are sort of like cages, but they don't have any bars. Humans can't enter them either unless they have permission from the animal girls. One thing to remember though. They hate cages. Those tall thing bars preventing animals from roaming. It makes them feel like they're in a prison. They just don't like it. There's a map of all the environments and habitats as well for people who need to find their way around. Jungle, Rainforest, Savanna, Forest and Lake, Grasslands and Wetlands, Desert, Arctic, Mountains, Ocean and Coast, which is the area that doubles as an aquarium, Swamp, Outback, Amazon, At Home, Barn, Insect House, the Gift Shop and Food Bar and the Quarantine. Because Safaridol Zoo is huge, guests would need a map to know their way around and if they wanna revisit their favourite spots.

Now where does Shiro fit it you may ask. Well apart of the plot is the animals all deciding on trying something new. Hiring a human zookeeper to look after them. And Shiro made the spot. With this information, doing this job was a lot more then she expected. But it's made easy because the idols gain a huge liking to Shiro. Every episode follows Shiro just looking after the animals and learning about how they think.

I should warn you though. The idols are quite jumpy. They're all pretty energetic, carefree, very playful as if they're just new borns and they love attention. The animals don't really talk a lot unless they're on stage, but their body language and saying a few words can be understood. But they're still animals and they always need time to themselves. When it comes to being idols, all the animals come in groups or go solo, whether it be species or breed, even if some members live in different environments, habitats and climates. And with that comes the leaders of each group, which the animals consider themselves the Alpha. And looking at it, I got too many teams! So that's why I've jotted down some central animals that make appearances in almost each episode and stick with Shiro. They are African Lion, Grey Wolf, Komodo Dragon, Bald Eagle, Orca, Rhesus Monkey, Pond Frog, Holland Lop Rabbit, Arabian Horse, Holstein Friesian Cow, House Mouse and Carpenter Ant. They are the Alphas, the leaders of the animal girls. Rulers of the land, sky and sea.

Some animals have separate jobs as well, like the domestics run the gift shop and food bar and the nocturnal watch the zoo at night. However they get upset and act fierce and threatening when they see cruelty, mistreatment, abandonment or abuse towards other animals and creatures, like Pokemon, and either confront or lash out at the abuser, depending on the mistreatment. Some of these girls do have fighting tactics straight from the wild being the animals they are. That being the big cats and dogs, bears, crocodiles, snakes, sharks, some birds and a few more, mainly predators. But that doesn't mean the carnivores are a threat to the herbivores. They only eat meat that's been packaged and obviously they have no taste for humans. When they're chasing or fighting each other, it's their way of playing games or exorcise. Or the predators could be bullying them according to instinct or animal facts that are fun to learn. Either way, they won't eat one another. All the animal girls have their own little relationships between one another, counting predators and prey. If you know you're animals, you'd know there's a lot of instincts they have in nature.

IOTW is supposed to be that kind of anime where nothing really big happens, where a regular human being comes across something unexpected and the last 2 or 3 episodes involve something thrilling. So it's almost like the kind of anime you find relaxing and soothing enough to put you to sleep like a lullaby. Well, mostly. Just aside from the singing and dancing. And I think you could say this anime is also somewhat educational, because it does involve a few facts I myself learnt about these animals from documentaries and other animes. Every day is typical for someone working at Safaridol Zoo and looking after the animals.
