Travelling down long, snaking paths of alleys, we finally reached the entrance to the rave. The rave itself was inside an enormous old factory, but it was only accessible on the side through heavy fire escape doors. Two very large, imposing bouncers stood on either side of the doors while a giant mass of ravers lined up waiting to get in. Amazingly the walls of the abandoned factory were soundproofed enough that you could barely hear a sound while standing outside. However, as soon as the doors opened the music poured out.

"Ok, this sucks," I whined as we joined the end of the line, realising we were going to be waiting several hours to even get in. "Sorry, I didn't realise it was going to be this popular. There's no point, let's just go."

Jake frowned, "You're giving up so soon? You've been wanting this all day."

"I don't want to be waiting all night and I know you sure as hell don't either," I pointed out.

Jake looked around then closed his eyes to take a moment to think. When he reopened up them, he spoke very softly to me so no one else would hear, "What if I could get us in?"

"Really?" I questioned out of confusion. "What, sneak in? I don't want to piss off those bouncers, Jake. Look at them!"

He shook his head and sighed, "We wouldn't need to sneak in or piss off the bouncers. My only request is that you don't ask me how. You definitely want this? Do you trust me?"

"Yes I do and I trust you," I smiled. "If you think you can get us in, do whatever it is you have in mind."

"Ok, follow me," Jake nodded.

Jake pushed past the crowd control barriers, then helped me through. All eyes were on us as we walked up the space that would normally be reserved for VIPs. I couldn't blame them; we did not look to be VIPs in the slightest. One of the bouncers approached Jake and made him stop. Jake spoke in German to the bouncer in a dark tone I never heard him use before. His expression was absolutely stone cold, even when he gestured back to me. He was almost unrecognisable from the Jake I knew. The bouncer looked at me apprehensively as if he wasn't convinced to let us through. Jake took out his phone and showed the bouncer something on the screen. Suddenly the bouncer was humbled. He stepped back and waved us through.

"Come," Jake tilted his head towards the door while his eyes were still icy cold.

I nodded nervously and stepped forward. Jake put his arm around me possessively and pulled me close as he opened the door for us to walk through together. Now even the bouncers were watching us closely as we went in. I looked back and saw them radio in as the door closed behind us. Now that we were being blasted with techno music, I had to pull Jake down to speak in his ear so he could hear me.

"Did you just expose yourself?" I asked.

Jake pulled me over to a less crowded area and leant down, "You said you trusted me."

"I didn't know it involved revealing your identity," I glared. "That was not worth skipping the line over!"

"It's fine," he shook his head. "I saved us hours of waiting. Now did you want to have a drink first or did you want to go out onto the floor?"

I sighed, "I think I need something hard now."

Jake smirked, "I'll get us some drinks. Wait here, ok? I will be back in a few minutes."

I glanced at the swarm of people around the bar, "So are you going to wave your phone and hack them too?"

"No, I have to fight to get through just like everyone else," he laughed. "If anyone bothers you, remember you can hold down the home button on your phone, ok?"
