Samira had always had a quite strange relationship with other women. That was not because she considered herself better or 'not like other girls', it was something she could quite pinpoint either.
As an only child, she was raised by her mage mother quite secluded, because of what she was, a mage, one of the few living ones, and Francesca knew what that meant. After her aunt Eleonora was murdered by Rasputin, her mother became even more protective. The only other children she had contact with once in a while were her cousin Erik and his cousin Michael.
When Erik's relationship with Katharina became official, Samira was very happy about the possibility of finally having a peer, a fellow girl that had a similar upbringing, status and interests to her. Katharina was smart, athletic and like herself, a fan of the suffragette movement. Erik's mate was popular among the packs, known for her beauty and battle skills as well as for her sometimes entitled demeanor.
How wrong she had been about this friendship...
Her first encounter with Katharina had ended in a fistfight with both of them in their wolf form and her uncle Heinrich commanding them to stop.
Katharina had her clique of wolf girls, all pretty, white-skinned and light-eyed. Samira wanted to be part of the group too, but an ice-cold shoulder blocked all her attempts to fit in. When she confronted them, she was told that she was a mutt and would never be their equal. A much younger Samira wasn't all that wise and her answer had been a literal slap in Katharina's face.
After that her attempt to get a female friend was put on hold for a while. Erik was more or less her best friend when they were teenagers and young adults and she had with Michael a quite good relationship as well. Despite his mate bond with Katharina, that was constantly trying to plant discord, they remained close.
When Katharina died ultimately, Samira couldn't say wholeheartedly that she felt sorry. She felt sorry a brilliant young woman died in an awful way but she was not sorry the lover of her cousin died after all she put him through.
Then she met Dahiru and her life shifted. She became Luna, met a lot of new people and he had filled her life in so many beautiful ways she didn't think of this particular aspect anyone until he was gone and she was left alone again. Many years older she still found it difficult to engage with other women sometimes.
Mila had been a very sweet girl but she seemed intimidated by her like many other girls. And the few that weren't, like Kiera... She didn't even want to think about the bitch.
Here she was though, having these strange thoughts triggered by this girl Daria's hand moving over Kiril's chest. It irritated her immensely and she couldn't exactly grasp why. What did she care if he would be fucking her that night? The strange thing was, she did care. How could this girl have so little preservation sense and self-respect to want to sleep with... Him?
It made her cringe in disgust. And that other poor creature that was calling him master and treating him quite as such... Who knows what hideous things he did to her to make her submit to such a degrading degree?
And there was Angel that she could see in the corner of her eyes biting his lips and watching the scene. She wanted to slap him back to reality. What was wrong with all these people?
At least Michael shared her feelings in this regard but something was up with Michael as well. He didn't act strange, it was quite characteristic, calculated and methodical, but something didn't feel right. And where on earth did Mila go?
Samira really wanted to meet her, the human that became a goddess, and also the pregnant girl that really needed help, much like herself. She either needed help or she could help, maybe stripping Kiril from the power that wasn't rightfully his.
