Kie quickly cut him off ''Hey, guys? Guys, bogey, two o'clock''

The others turned to see what she was talking about, seeing a boat coming towards them.

''Do you recognise that boat?'' Pope asked.

'''I've never seen it. What are they doing here? The marsh is closed'' Kie questioned.

The blonde boy shook his head ''I don't know, but lets not stick around and find out''

''JJ, get the bowline'' John B ordered the boy.

''Should we wait on 'em?''

Bella looked at Pope and back to the approaching boat ''I don't like the looks of this already, maybe we shouldn't''

''No, we're not gonna wait on 'em'' John B answered patting the boys shoulder ''Go get the stern. Go!''

Kiara started getting worried ''Are you joking? JJ, hurry up''

Bella rushed over to help JJ ''Give him a minute Kie, he's trying''

He stood on the edge of the boat, frantically looking back to his friends''Guys, don't wait for me. Go''

John B started up the pogue ''I don't like the look of this''

''Are they coming for us?''

''Maybe they're fishing'' Pope suggested.

Bella snapped her head at him ''Looks to me like they're comin' right at us''

Pope shrugged, knowing his idea was a little stupid, quickly shrugging it off pointing to John B ''Go into the marsh''

The latter being slightly calmer than Pope ''I'm going! Act natural''

Bella's eyes stayed focused on the boat trailing them ''Oh no, this is bad''

Kiara started panicking ''Guys, they're following us''

JJ snapped at John B ''Dude, you gotta go faster''

He sped up the boat as much as he could, shouting back ''I'm going, i'm going!''

They were going fast with the other boat trailing them, Bella turned around to see if she could get a look at the people's faces and as she did, there was an unexpected ear-piercingly loud gunshot. They all ducked, JJ immediately grabbed Bella's waist, pulling her into him, acting like the girls own human shield.

Bella shouted ''What the fuck''

John B was still trying to steer the pogue and JJ looked up at him ''John B! Get down!''

Bella tried to pull her brother down to get him out of the eye line of the crazy people behind them but it was no use, as another gunshot sounded and JJ tightened his grip on her.

Pope was clearly terrified, covering his head ''Oh my god, we're gonna die''

Bella's eyes caught onto the front of the boat, there being some fishing net, she decided to give her quick thought a try. Escaping JJ's grip, him shouting at her ''Elle! What the fuck are you doing? Get down'' trying to reach for her hand but she had already stood up, still ducking as much as she could.

Kiara had caught onto the girls idea and walked over to the back of the boat, waiting for her. Bella picked up the net walked over to the back towards Kiara, handing her the other end of the net. There was another gunshot, the bullet flying through the gap between the girls faces. ''Bella! Get down guys!'' John B shouted.

They didn't listen and - in unison - chucked the net out into the marsh and when the other boat had tried to catch up, the net had got caught up in their prop, making them come to a halt.

The girls turned to look at each other and immediately started laughing.

JJ stood up and shouted ''Pogue life, man!''

''That was insane'' Kie scoffed happily.

When they finally got back to the chateau, after getting off the boat, they stood on the dock as John B started to open the bag.

''What do you guys think it is?'' Kie asked.

John B looked up at her ''Well, it's gotta be money or something right?''

JJ then spoke, sounding hopeful ''That or a couple of keys with street value to the low to mid mils!''

''Can we please just open the bag?'' Pope said loudly.

Bella laughed ''Okay, damn Popey, calm down''

John B's eyebrows raised looking over at his friend ''Wow Pope. That's a rare outburst of emotion''

The boy replied ''Okay. You guys are literally killing me with anticipation. Open the bag. We almost died over this''

John B pulled out a metal container, one that looked like a flask of some sort and began to open it. As he did, he flipped it over, letting whatever was in it, fall into his hand. As his sister saw what it was, her eyes widened, moving to sit down next to John B on the floor, taking it out of his hand and into her own to see if she was seeing it right.

''Oh, wow, yup. That's about right. Good job everybody. We found a compass'' Pope spoke, sounding annoyed.

JJ noticed the siblings reactions to the object ''Elle, what? It's not worth anything''

''This was our fathers'' John B said quietly, taking the compass back out of Bella's hand to get a look at it.

They both just looked at each other without a word, smiling until John B brought her into a hug.
