When I woke up that morning, I hoped I hadn't made a mistake turning Will down. Confident guys like him often don't take too kindly to rejection, but I knew I had to do it, I'd been single for so long that I wasn't ready to be played, especially considering I was starting to really like him. His sexy, cocky demeanor, that cheeky smile, his goofyness when he let his guard down, how kind hearted he could be behind the scenes, and of course, his looks helped. Once I'd showered, I put my earphones in and went for a jog to clear my head and convince myself I hadn't blown it, or at least, if I had, I was the right thing to do. I couldn't get in too deep if he was going to break my heart, no strong confident woman acts the way they do, without reason, and it's usually due to being fucked around too many times, so we stop dealing with the bullshit.

After my jog, I grabbed some lunch and got ready for work, painfully aware that Will hadn't text me at all today, making me assume that I was right to do what I did, he didn't get any action so he'd lost interest. Upon arriving at the venue, I wandered through until I found the hair and make-up area, and went in to set up my station, smiling and greeting the other make-up artists and the hair stylist as they all arrived, as well as other members of crew that were milling about.

As soon as she had the chance, Shana came running up to me and dragged me into the corner "So? What happened with you and Will last night?" She asked excitedly, I shook my head smiling "Nothing happened, he tried to make a move, well, he tried a few times, but I turned him down, I am not just a piece of ass" I answered, and she looked shocked "Wow, really? That's impressive" she suddenly looked proud as she added "Of course you're gunna make him work for it" she smirked, I grinned back at her "You know me, I'm nobody's play thing" I winked but then my heart skipped a beat as I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, I smirked as I pulled it out, assuming it was Will, but to my surprise it was Ruby 'Hey girl, come down the last locker room on the left, end of the big corridor, I need your help' I apologized and said goodbye to Shana, telling her I wouldn't be long and headed out to find Ruby.

When I got to the locker room, the door was wide open and I saw a couple of the girls in there with her, Ruby was staring at her gear, looking concerned, but her head shot up when she heard the heels of my boots "Thank God! My gear got caught in the zip on my bag and ripped!" she half shouted looking panicked, "Have you spoken to Sandra?" I asked walking over, assuming she would go to the seamstress first "Yeah, but her sewing machine broke so she's too busy hand sewing things for other people!" she rushed, I sat next to her and inspected the clothing in her hand, the long side of her tights had a rip right down the thigh. If it had been across, it would have worked with the punk look, but a tear going down was just strange, I had to think of something to help my friend, when all of a sudden I had an idea "I've got it, wait there, I'll be right back." She just huffed in response, going back to staring at the tear. I headed out looking for Sandra and when I found her, she was stressed, surrounded by clothes and hand stitching a singlet, "Hey sweetie, do you still have spare boot laces?" I asked, she didn't even speak a reply, she just pointed to a grey pot marked 'Laces' and continued concentrating, obviously too busy for words. I grabbed a lace and a thin pair of scissors, said my thank you's and headed back to Ruby.

"You're a genius!" Ruby declared, admiring her gear in the mirror, I had used the boot lace to create a lace up effect, closing the tear and adding a little detail "I know" I grinned, giving her a hug and saying goodbye as I needed to get back to my actual job. Returning to the glam room, I walked into mild chaos, people dashing about, the makeup for the show now in full swing, the room full of people. I went to my station and instantly spotted something, I looked around and saw everyone still busy, no-one noticing what had been placed on the table with my things. I picked up the white rose that had been left and held it in my hands, 'who on earth would give me a rose- no.... surely not.' I thought to myself wondering where it had come from when my phone buzzed again, and this time, it was Will. 'Sorry about last night, I get a bit handsy when I'm drunk, forgive me?.' it said, along with a rose emoji. I couldn't believe it, had he been avoiding me because he was.... Embarrassed or ashamed? No. That can't be it.

As the time passed, I helped a few wrestlers out and gave advice to my team, occasionally glancing at the beautiful rose sitting in a glass of water on my desk, and ended up having no time to reply to Will's message, but suddenly my attention was caught by a very tall man entering the room in black trunks and a dark jacket, I recognized him from my folder of names as one of the tag team Aussie Open, I just couldn't remember which he was.. He spoke to Tanzi while she finished up Thunder Rosa's makeup, and she pointed at me. The tall man with the impressive mustache, smiled, appeared to thank her and headed towards me "Hey, you're Sam right?" he asked and I nodded in response "I'm Mark, just call me Davis, I'm in the United Empire with Ospreay" He continued in his Australian accent "Oh yeah, thought I recognized you, nice to meet you" I smiled up to him "Well Davis, what can I do for you?." He gestured to my brush belt "You might wanna take that off, I need you to come with me, now" he said, clearly in a hurry, so I un-clipped the belt and laid it on the table, as soon as I put it down, Davis grabbed my hand and lead me out of the room and down some corridors until I could see the fans, as we stood at the edge of the arena, he pointed to just outside the ring "You see the ring announcer by the bell table? There's a seat there for you, Kyle told them you're coming, so just show your pass and they'll let you through the barricade to sit there." I turned back and he was already walking off, I simply shrugged, did as I was told and wandered through the cheering fans, making my way to the ring, as I got to the barricade, one of the ring crew spotted me and waved me through, opening the gate for me and directing me to a chair next to Justin Roberts.

Justin said a quick hello before getting up from his seat and heading to the ring to announce the next match and when the music started, I got goosebumps. The eerie beat making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I noticed the United Empire flags on the large screens over the entrance ramp, and suddenly, it dawned on me. They'd brought me out to watch their match. To watch Will Ospreay. Once I'd figured it out, I sat up straight, smoothed out my hair and prepared myself as I saw Kyle, then Davis, then Will, then another man I recognized as Aaron Henare, walk out onto the stage and pose, with their hands in crown shapes above their heads, the United Empire signal. I smiled and clapped, cheering the boys as they walked down all stern faced and I couldn't take my eyes off Will, a big Gold title belt around his waist, wearing a gloriously lavish coat, with lots of dark green fur. As they got closer, I noticed part of the fur of the coat was in fact a large green lions head on his shoulder, and as he walked up the steps and climbed into the ring, Will's eyes met mine, he simply winked at me before going over to the ropes and posing with his boys. After their opponents entered the ring, Will slipped off his coat, handed it to a member of crew and pointed at me as he spoke, the next thing I knew, the crew member brought the coat to me and said "He's asked you to wear it."

Sorry for slow updates, I got carried away writing one-shots. And I went to a show recently that Ospreay, Francesco Akira and Aussie Open were on. I screamed a lot.. Here's a picture, I didn't take many, and I was too into the matches, so my photo's were bad.
