MILLIE HAD ULTERIOR MOTIVES. Growing up, she was competitive; Millie played multiple sports- joined several debate clubs because she felt the thrill of winning. Millie loved it but would try harder next time if she didn't win. Losing was not an option for Millie; she had to win.

Millie met Finn in her sophomore year; they were both in the same science class- AP.

Finn was already dating y/n then, so when Millie found interest in him, she was dead set on having him. she could not lose him because.. losing is not an option.

Y/n was observant; she wasn't stupid or blind. She saw right through Millie and the smile she plastered on her face to everyone she greeted.

Millie could only hold that smile for so long, so when she dropped it, y/n saw her true colors.

Millie wasn't stupid either; she knew y/n was closing in on her. It was only a matter of time before y/n kept Finn away from her- and she couldn't let that happen. Millie started doing terribly in her classes on purpose, just enough to where she didn't fail. Her grades went from a perfect A+ to a C.

"Finn, do you think you could help me? I'm starting to flunk my classes." Millie pouted when she met y/n and Finn at their lunch table.

Finn agreed, and it wasn't long before Finn started to cancel his plans with y/n. Before y/n could even walk into the cafeteria, she noticed how Finn would instead be outside on the outdoor tables- "teaching" Millie.

Her eyes glared outside through the window. She didn't see Millie as anything more than a pesky bug that never seemed to know her place.

Finn caught on so fast that Millie wasn't flunking her classes; instead was just lazy. At least that. That is what he thought. "Millie, I can't tutor you today. I'm going to play video games with y/n." he broke to her, his hands both on the straps of his backpack. They were both standing in the hallway at her locker.

Millie's hand gripped the metal, but her smile widened, "no worries, Finn, I think I am catching up anyways. thank you!" she laughed lightly.

Finn nodded before excusing himself from the conversation. He walked away, and Millie watched her smile fade, seeing him walking to y/n. Her face turned red.

There she was, y/n was leaning on her locker, smiling at Finn until he reached her, to which she kissed him softly on his cheek. Before they could walk away, y/n smirked and winked at Millie.
