TONIGHT I HUGGED
AN ANGEL!00:02

IT'S BEEN ALMOST FIVE YEARS since Y/n's death. And since then, Finn still thinks about her almost every day. He wonders if what he would be doing at that moment would change if she was still alive.
Would he be cuddling with her in bed? Would he be playing video games with her? Would he talk to her, enjoying her company? He didn't know generally, but it didn't matter, at least if we were being honest.
Millie would cradle him like a baby as he continued to hear her heartbeat. It seemed to calm him down as long as he knew she wouldn't leave him, not like how Y/n did. It's not like he blamed Y/n for leaving or dying- but he didn't think he could deal with the pain again.
The first day Finn didn't cry about Y/n; it was a typical day. He had just returned from school, and usually, he would run to his bed and begin his crying session. But instead, he turned on her tv and started playing Call of duty.
Usually, Y/n would completely obliterate him when they played; Y/n would constantly make yawning noises as Finn tried his best to stay alive. But this time, Finn didn't think about her; he didn't get out that extra controller that was hers.
Instead, that control started collecting dust, and nobody played with him.
He didn't think of Y/n, not once, as he played. However, he continued dying and cursing at himself as his team lost the match.
When Finn got bored, he usually did his homework as an average student did. He never seemed to have the time to cry about Y/n anymore; it's like she never existed- at least for a little second.
But as soon as Y/n popped into his head, she would continue to make little pop-ins- making him feel utterly alone.
Millie and Finn ... it didn't take Finn too long to finally look at her the way she looked at him. It was like he suddenly gave her the time of day, and he couldn't stop after that. She was there for him when he needed it the most.
When Finn and millie finally became official, people around them didn't seem to treat them as they did Finn and Y/n. Nobody gave them longing stares as they walked by, and nobody smiled at their conjoined hands—it was like they were every other couple.
Because they were.

Millie stared down at the cup of black coffee before her, growing anxious, waiting for Finn. The two have been together for such a long time, but she still got butterflies.
