"FINN, MY MAN! I WASN'T SURE IF YOU were going to make it!" Daniel shouted from his seat. People were around, giving him weird looks, but soon enough they returned to what they were doing.

Finn gave Daniel a small smile before sitting beside him; Daniel patted his back rather harshly.

"You know, we only really talked to each other a little before you got fired, but I feel like I've known you forever," Daniel admitted genuinely; He had his hand on the coaster while clicking it on the table.

They were sitting at the bar and waiting until the bartender finally made them drinks. "Thanks, I guess. All my friends separated after High School." Finn shrugged; he was tense since this was not his scene.

He was not much of a drinker, Finn; maybe this was his way to get back at Millie. If he called her drunk to pick her up, she'll feel bad and probably not go to new york after all.

"Sheesh, Tell me about it. My girlfriend left me when I walked down the stage after getting my diploma." Finn nodded to this; not everyone has a perfect life. "So, Why did you change your mind? You sounded pretty sure that you didn't want to come."

"My girlfriend and I got into an argument," Finn admitted. He had his head down, almost ashamed- both because the excuse was pathetic and because he was worried about what that meant for his relationship with Millie. "I guess this is my pathetic excuse to ignore it."

Daniel didn't want to push, but he could tell Finn needed to vent. "Hey, Bartender guy. Can you get us the strongest drink you got? Put it on my tab." Daniel shouted, and the tall man nodded his head to this. "Let it all out, man; It's good to let it out occasionally."

Finn looked up from the table and stared at Daniel weirdly. "You want me to cry?" He cringed. Daniel shook his head, "No, I'm saying to say everything you're keeping inside,"

Finn  listened to him- Like genuinely listened to him as he continued. "If you don't, you will regret it and say something wrong. It's better to say it now to someone like me rather than your girlfriend."

Daniel waited a few moments until he noticed Finn was not budging. "Look, I wanted to be a therapist so bad. I wanted to help people like you, especially those who didn't think anything was wrong with them."

He stopped briefly and thought, "But that didn't work out; nobody likes male therapists, so they kept letting me go, and I couldn't land a single job for longer than two months." This was the first time Finn saw Daniel look like he knew was talking about.
