THE NEXT DAY ANNA HAD THE GREATEST idea to have everyone besides Raul out in time square to enjoy the sun and maybe even go to the park. Y/n was unhappy about this arrangement since she wanted to stay in bed all day since she had a day off.

"Come on, if you come, I'll invite your favorite girl!" Anna was bribed, and Y/n perked up in her bed. She hadn't seen her friend since October, and it was mid-march. To say she didn't mind going now was an understatement.

Y/n stole one of Miles's overly large black leather jackets over her maroon-red dress; She knew Miles wouldn't mind since he accidentally ordered the wrong size. "Good morning, Amelia!" Y/n cheerfully greeted, confusing the hell out of the new girl.

She gave everyone a look to see if anyone also felt shocked by her behavior, but not a single thing appeared on their faces. "She's going to meet us there, so let's not keep Jonah waiting."

Manhattan was the home of many underground assassins and elite affiliations, though Raul's was one of, if not the most influential groups in this world. There were many other ones, like Leonardo and another man named Monte.

Monte was very wealthy, but he had a humble shop as a clockmaker to hide his status. And his daughter, Sadie, was also very crafty like him. Y/n has known Sadie since high school, though they were not close then; Y/n thinks that's how she might've gone on Raul's radar.

Sadie was still disguised as an average student when Y/n faked her death, but when she graduated from high school, she returned to New York to work in this new world her father was a part of. Now, all of Raul's weapons were handcrafted to perfection by Sadie.

Y/n's favorite blades? Especially perfected by Sadie, of course, with no price involved since they were familiar with one another. Now Sadie is one of the only people who accept her unstable perception of life.

"What took you so long? Had me waiting in this scorching sun!" Sadie complained, but there was a broad smile when she hugged Y/n, following her greets from Anna down to Tyler. She immediately stopped when she came face to face with Amelia.

Her grin dropped to a confused look, "And who are you?" She asked as she snaked her arm around Y/n's waist, bringing her closer.

"This is Amelia; she's a new friend of ours." Anna hinted at her wording so Sadie could get the meaning without going too in-depth.

"Shoulda' told me you guys were making new friends, Got me looking like a rude person." The redhead laughed. "Nice to meet you. Call me Sadie."

Sadie gave her a brief look before staring away. "Where should we go first?" Peter glanced at Anna. "Let's go to the park! I heard there's a little market going around."
