"The cocktail of love??" Neil came to take Aarohi as the engagement had started but his love lady was still locked in her room. He thought she must be getting ready but, here she was all decked up and in her traditionally embroidered light blue off-shoulder gown and was laying on the, her back rested against the headrest and was reading a book called 'The cocktail of love' He had no idea that Aarohi reads romantic novels, maybe he never tried to know what were her choices for book.
"Yeah???"
"What 'yeah???' the function has started, come down!"
"Ohhhh! Is it so? Let's go" Aarohi kept her book down with a bookmark, on the table and stood up.
"Well, I didn't know you like to read romantic novels! Specially best-friend-turned-lovers kind!" Neil stated his thoughts, while they were going to the hall, where the engagement party was going on, the hall was a different one than the previous one, the place where tilak was held. It was bigger also as there were many guests and the first official function for the relatives, the tilak was had for Akshara's satisfaction as Aarohi wasn't there at the process held at Goenka's villa.
"Actually I trust the theory that best friends make better lovers and It's not because it's a theory but, you see having a strong friendship bond with your partner is the secret to having a long-lasting romantic relationship, scientists claim!" While she was talking about love, which she just realised for Neil, she was very enthusiastic.
"Researchers found that lovers who are close friends enjoy better sex, more love and greater commitment! And I believe that any relation starts with friendship!" Aarohi was the first time openly talking about such a topic to anyone except Hina who knew what Aarohi was feeling without her saying. And even Akshu know this!
"Wooooooh this is new information, yet noted!"
'This girl never leaves me not surprised!' Neil thought looking at her smiling face, this was a piece of new information for him, despite knowing Aarohi wanted her own fairy-tale, which she told him when she narrated the Mumbai thing.
"You know, best friends hold each other very tight!"
Neil said and stopped walking but Aarohi in her zone of walking she walked two steps forward and then looked back at him with a frown. In the very next moment, she is in Neil's arms. Neil grabbed Aarohi's left wrist and pulled her to his arm, making her lean all over him. His both arms completely rounded around her waist. Her hands automatically travelled to his nape.
"This tight!" Neil whispered.
Neil kissed her left cheek, Aarohi's eyes fluttered close, and then he kissed her right cheek.
"I will never leave you!"
Neil kissed Aarohi's forehead and joint his forehead with hers.
"Never?" Aarohi asked managing her nervousness due to the closeness, yet not making any move to make some distance between them.
"Never!"
"Promise?"
"Promise!"
God know for how many minutes they stood in the middle of the corridor, in each other's arms.
.
.
All the time in the ceremony, whenever Neil got a chance he kept holding hold Aarohi's hand, Aarohi kept trying to rid of his hand for the fear of anyone noticing, otherwise, she loved his warm hand in her cold ones, their hand fitted in each other perfectly, and they had to be if they didn't, both Neil and Aarohi will make each and every effort in their relationship to make it work. After all, not all hands fit together perfectly, it is all the efforts which make it fit perfectly.
.
.
Tossing,
turning,
again tossing
and turning
"Arrrrrrhhhh"
Aarohi wasn't able to sleep even when she thought she would sleep the moment her head would hit the pillow, but her guess was terribly wrong! Her mind was again and again to the warmth of Neil's arms, and she was terribly missing it.
"I will never leave you!"
Flashbacks were making it difficult for her to stop missing him and focus on trying to sleep.
"Never?"
"Never!"
"Promise?"
"Promise!"
'Am I the only one who is not able to sleep?' she asked herself and then decided to visit his room and check on him from the door, which was connecting their rooms.
Aarohi threw the blanket off her and took her mobile from the table and walked towards the door, she silently opened the door slightly and saw him smiling at his mobile unaware of Aarohi's presence.
.
.
Neil was admiring the beauty of his love lady, on his mobile, which he had captured secretly during today's function. He felt the door open wide which, connected both the rooms, he quickly turned off his mobile and tossed the other side, as if he was fast asleep.
'Acha ji! Chamkadar ko natak karna hai! Ab dekho main kya karti hun!'
"Acha hai! soo raha hai! bichara mera pyara Neil ko andaza bhi nahi hoga ki main kya karne wali hun"
'Bhagwan kya karne wali hai ye?'
