260 days since Elvira disappeared from Hawkins. 260 days where the town wasn't the same anymore. 260 days since they lost Billy, Hopper, the twins and her. 260 days where no one ever truly smiled. And 260 days where Steve Harrington wasn't the same.

Every night, he kept trying to contact through the radio with Elvira, hoping that she will answer. But she didn't. He was reading the papers Elvira had written about the Upside-Down, trying to find a way to bring the boys back. Robin was helping him with this situation, but after some days of restless tries and pointless theories, she told him that he needed to rest. Of course, he never stopped and he could not accept the hard truth about it. He thought about going to see Elvira, but quickly dodged that thought from his mind. She left for a reason, and maybe she didn't want anything to do with Hawkins anymore.

He missed her. He missed his family, the way things were. It will never be the same as it was. And that's what hurts him the most. His dream had finally come true and within a year, he loses everything.

Steve always thought how Elvira must felt. Deep down, he knew she was at worst state than him. He wanted to see her, to hug her, to kiss her. To let her know that he is there for her, but he couldn't and he knew he shouldn't go to her.

So now, there he was, driving his car towards Hawkins High with Robin in the passenger seat.

"So are you gonna say anything or should I turn on the radio?" Steve asks Robin.

He never spoke first, in any conversation he had with anyone. Like he didn't have the strength to talk. Everyone understood him, but Robin disagreed with his attitude, telling him that there are people here who need him, like Max and Dustin, so he needs to pay attention to them because that's what his family would want.

"Oh, so you can talk" Robin says.

"What, were you expecting me to speak first? I can't believe you, Robin"

"Steve, you need to start speaking more, okay? For the sake of your friends, please do that for us!"

"Okay, why are you so cranky right now?"

"Uh, why? Okay, it is 7:00 in the morning, we have the stupid pep rally, and I woke up looking like a total corpse"

"You're worried about a pep rally? Expect me to believe that?" Steve asks her.

"Yeah? So?"

"So we both know what this is about, okay? I'm not buying that. This is about Vickie"

"Absolutely not" Robin disagrees.

"Yes, it is. You know what else I think?"

"I don't care"

"You gotta stop pretending to be someone else when you're around her. You just gotta be yourself" Steve tells her.

"Okay, who are you quoting right now?" Robin asks.

"N-no one"

"Steve, that is exactly what Elv-" Robin stops talking and looks ahead at the road "It doesn't matter. Look, it's not that easy for me, okay? When a guy asks a girl out and she says no, it's not a big deal. Nothing happens, maybe their ego's a little bruised but I ask out the wrong girl and bam, I'm a town pariah"
