LONG CHAPTER AHEAD! ⚠️

******

I fell asleep on the couch last night, feeling way too tired to carry myself up the stairs.

My mom had left for the week, spending it in the Bahamas with her new boyfriend, James. He supposedly has a lot of money, according to Mom.

I'm guessing they met at a bar not too long ago. But I could tell my mom wants to marry him already.

He pays for her bills, alcohol and cigarettes, which only encourages her to keep doing so.

My brother was out all day. He was at his football game and I was pretty bored, so I decided that i'd go and distract Andrew, and partially cheer him on.

The field he plays football at is just around the corner, near our local town park, so it didn't take long before I arrived.

I jog over there, holding a thing of ice water that I planned to pour all over him after the game, but I also had tickets to go to a metal band that him and I had liked a bunch, Iron Maiden.

Ive been planning this for months now, and I set everything up!

What I was thinking, is that after I soak him with ice water, I cheer him up quickly and change his mood by showing him the tickets, then tonight, go to that concert, scream our hearts out to the song, come home, build a huge fort, watch horror movie and eat a bunch of junk, and finally, tell scary stories!

Then in the morning, we go out and have brunch together, play soccer and maybe even get some ice cream because we would be sweating from all of that running.

Yeah, I think he'd like that.

I mean, who wouldn't? That seems like a killer sleepover to me.

As I sit down on the bleachers, I observe the field, looking for Andrew, but he was no where to be found, not even on the side lines.

Maybe he had to use the restroom?

10 minutes pass.

Maybe he wasn't feeling well?

15 minutes.

Maybe something came up?

20 minutes.

He probably got dehydrated and went home.

30 minutes more.

But I kept making excuses for him, hoping that he was alright.

Soon enough, the game was over. I travel down the bleachers, visiting his coach.

"Good Afternoon, Ms. Y/L/N, how are you?" He greets.

"I'm just fine, and you, sir?"

"I'm well, thank you. How is Andrew? Is he doing alright? He hasn't shown up for the game today, why's that?" He questions, leaving me anxious.

"I'm not sure, I haven't seen him all day either. Ill go home to check up on him, we have plans later anyway."

"Sounds good, you have a good rest of your day, ma'am, and tell Andrew boy I say hello."

"Will do!" I call out before exiting the packed field.

I look left and right, still not a single sight of Andrew found.
