DAILY SONG CHOICE: 4 MORANT - MARBLE FADE

•••

Finney and I were searching for Y/n once again, as I used a skateboard for transportation, and Finney using a bike.

We didn't exactly split up, but we went to separate houses to make the process quicker.

We were both desperate to find her.

When both of us were on our way to the next neighborhood, finney asked me a question that had left me in a deep thought.

"Do you think Y/n knows we're looking for her? Do you think she's depending on us to save her? Or do you just wonder if she's thinking she's a goner?"

I stayed silent for a quick moment, taking those thoughts in.

"I don't know." I clueless and effortless said. I just wanted to finally kiss Y/n. I wanted to bring her on a date. "I think she knows."

"Really?" Finney asks.

"Yeah, I think so."

"Robin, can I tell you something?"

"Yeah, sure, what's up, buddy?" What was he about to tell me?

"I used to think I liked Y/n."

My jaw drops as I look over to him pedaling at my speed of the skateboard.

"Yeah, she's special, Robin."

"I know she is." I pause. "Do you still like her?"

Now that I thought of it, it all adds up in my mind.

"Maybe. I don't know."

"How long have you liked her for?"

"Since we met."

Fuck. My best friend has liked my crush his whole life? I don't want to just steal his bitch like that?

"Oh shit, man." I stare at him, slowing my pace.

"Yeah. She's something else."

"Fuck, Man. Im so sorry." I apologize. I felt so shitty.

"No Robin, why are you apologizing?"

"I don't want to just swoop in now and steal her from you? That's fucked up!"

"No, it's okay. Besides, I'm not exactly what she's looking for." He mentions, creating an impact on me.

I furrow my brows at him, not sure if he can see my expression in the dark.

"What? Are you really that clueless?!" He chuckles.

"What? I don't get it, why wouldn't you be what she's looking for? You're so nice to her, and-" he cuts me off.

"Because you're what she wants. She's looking for a guy like you. Are you blind? Do you see the way she looks at you?" Finney explains, leaving me in pure confusion.

He sighs, regaining his energy back. "I love you Robin, but I can't believe you're this stupid." He states. "She loves you."

I mean I guess that would make sense on why she would have wanted to kiss me, but at the same time, maybe she was just lonely?

But in all honesty, I don't think she knew what she was doing.

She's never been in love before.

Not real love at least.

So I can't just assume anymore. She may have mixed up the type of 'bond' she saw between us.

"I don't know." I shrug, making him aggressively palm his face with a grunt.

"Just keep looking for a house."

"Yes sir."

Y/n's POV:

Dead bodies surround me, causing me to gasp and stumble back.

This was just an illusion.

Just.
An.
Illusion.

I close my eyes in horror, hoping it'll disappear.

Once I opened my eyes, the bloody bodies were gone.

"Y/n?" A voice whispered.

I shot my head around and observed a figure that I assumed was my dead brother's.

I shriek in terror, falling onto my ass.

"My dear Y/n, what are you doing here?"

I couldn't speak for moments at a time.

"This place is awful. Why aren't you home?" He tilts his head.

I force my ears shut with my hands. "This is fake! All fake!" I cry out, traumatized.

I hear a burst through a door, so I open my eyes to look.

And he was gone.

But instead, someone else had returned.
