Today, I actually had a day off. In such a long time. The only days I had off when I was sick. I spent most of my day with the ghost boys, playing games and talking.
"It's so nice to have you around again," Keonhee says. "But you know, not working. It's been so long since it's been like this."
"Like when we first met," Xion said, moving his pieces.
"Yeah," I smiled. "I like it. Nice and calm."
"So you said the other day that you have to work with another person?" Seoho asked, rolling the dice.
"Yep," I nodded, waiting for my turn. "Remember, the situation?"
"Right," Seoho said, moving his piece, landing on a spot.
"Hey, you owe me, you landed on my property," Leedo says.
"No neverr!" Seoho screeched.
"So much for calm," Hwanwoong chuckles. As the screaming went on, but soon, someone knocked over the board, causing the whole game to mess up.
I sighed. "We're not restarting. This is the second time."
"Sorryyy," Leedo and Seoho say, cleaning up the game.
"Maybe it's time for another game," I suggested.
"We went through all our games-" Keonhee mentioned. We all looked at the messy pile of game boxes.
"It's only 14:02-" Xion mentioned.
I shook my head playfully. Then something came to my head. "Wait a minute." The others look at me.
"Yeah?" Hwanwoong replies.
"I can't believe didn't ask this before, but," I took a deep breath. "Can you guys possess people?"
The all stared at me, before Seoho took a deep breath.
"We can, but we choose not to," he replies. "It's not right to take over someone's body and be physical. It's not consensual. Even if we did, we'd have to get used to being physical again."
I nodded, speechless. "Wow, that's.. wow."
Leedo nodded. "Don't worry, we'll keep an eye out if another ghost tries to get you."
I chuckled. "I doubt a ghost would want me."
"I'd want you," Keonhee mumbles. We all looked at him. "Not like that! I mean... if I were alive, I'd want to be with you. You're amazing."
I blushed lightly.
Xion joined in. "I wish we were friends before too. It would've been nice."
Hwanwoong sighed. "I wish we all were alive. Just imagine all the fun things we could do together. Like trips and all that."
Leedo hummed, softly nodding. "Yeah, that would be fun."
"Why do I feel so sad now?" Seoho sighed. "We were just having fun five seconds ago... but I agree. All the fun things we could do together.."
I just softly nodded, still thinking about it too. The fun and everything. And what Keonhee said.
Everything could've been different if the ghost boys were all alive and if they became friends beforehand.
How different would things be if they had?
