jonathan ♥️:
will do, bye stevie! <3

jonathan got up from his comfy bed and walked over to el who stood at the doorway.

"how do we go about this do you think?" jonathan asked el who shrugged. "get him in a good mood," joyce suggested, walking over to the two. "he's in a sour mood only because he thinks trick-or-treating is gonna suck without mike." jonathan and el nodded.

joyce grew a idea. "guess who'll be sitting through a d&d campaign," she said. jonathan groaned but el remained neutral. "us?" el inquired joyce nodded.

jonathan remembered the last time he had played d&d with the party. jonathan was a freshman; it was back when there were four, they needed five people (or at least that's the story they told) and nancy was away for the weekend. they some how convinced jonathan and never again. it wasn't a bad game but he just wasn't interested.

"nope, nope, nope," jonathan said after his recall. "you got a better idea?" joyce questioned with a raised eyebrow. jonathan smiled. "yeah i do." was it actually better? probably not no. will couldn't refuse to d&d.

"do all of us all a favour and don't listen," jonathan added and pulled out his phone and walked over to wills door. he knocked and was greeted by will yelling; "come in!" so jonathan did so.

el and joyce were confused but went to the kitchen to go make sandwiches for everyone. it was lunchtime after all.

jonathan quickly pulled up 'should i stay or should i go' on his phone and walked in. will was siting on his bed just staring. "why be in a sad mood when you can," jonathan started playing the song will looked at him as if he had gone nuts.

to be fair he probably wasn't far off. jonathan would definitely look at this moment in a couple of years and physically cringe so bad that he couldn't fall asleep.

when the words started to play in the song; jonathan sung with them, even throwing in a few dance moves. will stared at him with a confused expression but then he soon bursted out laughing see jonathan attempt to both sing and dance.

"so if you want me off your back," jonathan sung. it was a surprise that will ended up singing; "well, come on and let me know." jonathan honestly thought he'd be badly singing and dancing for the whole song while will laughed.

but it wasn't like that as they sung; "should i stay or should i go?" in sync. will eventually even stood up and started to dance with jonathan. it was quite a sight.

by the time it was sung and done, both boys flopped on wills bed laughing hysterically. it took them a couple of minutes to get lung capacity to start breathing normally and talking but they eventually did.

"that was so embarrassing," jonathan groaned. "that was absolutely hilarious," will corrected with a grin. with a roll of his eyes jonathan went on. "see sometimes we have to do things that seem boring or wrong or embarrassing but by the end? well turns out fun."

will sighed. "knew there was a catch," he said but he didn't seem sad or mad about it. "it's just i don't remember the last time i didn't go trick-or-treating with mike and the party. i guess it's just weird you know? we're all getting older and now i'm in completely different states as them, it's all just so?"

jonathan nodded, he understood. "change is weird, i completely understand but," he smiled, maybe half-hearted but jonathan did smile. "but?" will inquired. "getting older is no excuse not to go candy house hunting, did you steve harrington went until he was 16? he wished he still went as well!"

will looked more confused then anything. "candy house hunting?" he asked making jonathan sigh. "trick-or-treating, never mind that. i'm 18 and i'm beyond excited to go still, don't let you not being with mike anymore effect anything okay? i say spending time with me and el is much better."

if jonathan was being honest he didn't like that mike kid that much. though he had to be careful talking about him; he had suspicions of will liking him and el was literally his girlfriend.

"you know what jon, you're right," will simply said and then suddenly joyce and el burst through the door. "we'll play d&d with you if you go," joyce offered. will smirked. "well in that case of course!"

jonathan purposely slid off of wills bed. "are you kidding me? i just had a breakthrough and now i'm stuck playing d&d!" he groaned. the three only laughed at him though.

though jonathan would now have to sit through a very long game of d&d, he was glad him and will had talked. he was also glad they'd spend more quality family time together. they all definitely needed it.
