CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
"We'll be heading back now, sweetie. Are you sure you'll be fine?" My mom was talking to me through the car's window, I looked at the driver which was my pops, I haven't seen him for a long time since now. I turned to mom and smiled at her, something I should put up before her. Mom knew I wasn't feeling fine that I can't even catch up to what she was saying. I don't want them to worry about me that much, I should get used to not relying on them.
"Why don't you stay over at our house for the night?" dad suggested. I wanted to but since mom said along the ride that he just arrived from a week work, I can't just ruin their quality time. We'll not know, maybe I'll have my little sis or bro soon. Pfft. 17 years and I'm still hoping for one.
"Dad, I have homeworks to do, maybe next time and mom, don't worry, I'll just take a rest," I said and waved goodbye. I didn't wait for them to reply as I dashed towards my house's door. What a daughter.
I opened the door of the house without bothering with the lock, it was open anyway.
I feel bad for all the things I have done today. Not that I did it intentionally but I guess it was too much. Too much for me and for Evel.
The house was silent when I locked the door behind me. I don't feel good. I think I'm going to be welcomed by sickness.
"Kathy?"
"Oh, hi Evel," well this is awkward. After all he said earlier, I couldn't face him casually. I sighed and my head ache started to become worse. I was about to walk past him when he said the lines that really struck the shit out of me.
"Haven't you been a bitch enough for one day?" he said. I whirled around and he did the same. He was furious for something I couldn't think of why.
"Wow," I didn't want to argue but it really felt like a slap on my face. I deserved it but it really hurts me that it came from his mouth. We are currently having a staring contest and he was still having a straight face when I sneezed in front of him, "Sorry about that."
"Were you with Raven?" I was surprised by his sudden question, but I shouldn't lie to him. After all that had happened today, I think lying to what is going to be found out soon would make the situation worse.
"Ah yes, I didn't know he was... hahaha oh my he was amusing, funny.. and wait, he said he's in love and-" Evel held my shoulders and pushed me into a corner. Me and my unstoppable mouth. I rolled my eyes at him, idly asking, "What are you doing, pervert?"
"As much as I wanted to be mad at you.." he inched his face towards me and I just stared at him, "..I just can't," and I realized that this is going to be a sexual harrassment so I struggled to get loose. I was about to scream 'RAPE' but he pinned my wrists on top of my head and his other hand clasping my mouth shut, my hands were so little compared to his, "Don't move," he closed his eyes and before I could think of anything violent he'll might do, his forehead was already against mine, "Stupid, you're burning."
He let go of me and that's his not-so wise decision. I gave him a knee and ran up the stairs. Ugh, this is getting a bit more trivial and disturbing.
As soon as I entered my room, I began to change into my pajamas. It was a pain, my body felt like I've been in a so tiring day that moving a limb is so hard for me to even do it. I heard a knock from my door and I jump to my bed, hid under the sheets and pretended I was asleep. The door opened with a creaking sound.
"Kathy, do you think I'm that naive to actually think you're asleep when you are clearly shaking?" he said and sat down the bed, "I'll make a soup and bring the medicines."
